Cross-over Story Idea

Okay, this idea isn't really new but since it started as fan-fiction dream world i liked to fantasize about not really write down. I don't really do fan-fiction.. when i dream about stuff i usually end up creating my own character and putting them in with the pre-existing characters and see how they would react. This idea in particular doesn't really seem plausible though i did it anyway. In short it was a cross over between The Avengers and Dragonball Z (yes the anime with the Sayians.) I didn't include any of the existing characters from Dragonball as that was hard to pull together, instead my made up character was a half sayian who's father was one of the Avengers lol. K, i know that i can't write the story as is but the idea and what i've sort of come up with seemed interesting but i'm not sure if it's worth pursuing. Taking the main bits, i have a main character who is half alien who has super-human strength, great martial arts ability and can use the energy in her body to fly. In my cross-over fiction, her mother raised her; the full blooded alien on earth, as she had crashed several years ago and was unable to repair her ship, thus stuck on earth. That is where my MC learns her abilities and past. However, events change when her mother is killed and she is sent to her biological father.. whom she never knew anything about. He father is a self-centred science oriented billionaire (i guess you figured out who i chose to be her father lol). He doesn't want a child but is sort of thrown into the mix. From there she has to hide her abilities though at the same time worry/maybe investigate her mothers death as it wouldn't have been natural due to her mother's super strength and power. I've worked out a couple of plot outlines that could include others from her own alien race coming after her mother and now her to recover something she had/stole, or of another alien race trying to recover an item that her mother was protecting. Similar but slightly different. In the end i sort of have my MC given the choice of staying on earth or finding a way back to her alien people. The essence sound good, though i'm slightly worried about making my MC so powerful and the connection to the anime if i choose for her to power up and her hair to become bright yellow and spiky... (that obviously would be taking things too far, but i like the idea of her appearance changing when she powers up.) Thoughts? Maybe even other books/manga/shows that touched upon this that i can use as reference?

(so behind a password protected site where you shared the password only with some family and close friends would be OK.)
