I'm sorry that you were unable to validate your novel! We can still manually validate if you finished your novel this November.

In order to do so, please follow the instructions below:

1. Save your novel in a document or text file that you can attach to an email. (OPTIONAL: Feel free to scramble it if you'd like. Instructions here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/en/faq/word-count#scramble)
2. Attach that document to an email you send to Heather Dudley (heather_dudley@nanowrimo.org)
3. Include your USERNAME in the subject line.

If you email us after the 5th, we may not be able to give you access to your winner's goodies, but we will be able to mark your profile as a winner. If you're looking forward to your winner's goodies, make sure to email us before the 5th.

We know that you're eager to flaunt your status as someone who wrote a novel in 30 days, as well you should be, but if you'd allow us 48 hours to make the change (we get a lot of these requests!), we would very much appreciate your patience.

It was my first year too! I'm so excited about it.

This was my first year, too. I love writing, and deeply appreciate the thoughtfulness of the person who recommended NaNo to me (Sadly, she didn't even try. I was looking forward to friendly competition!). Somehow, though, I pulled out 50,000 words and now look forward to finishing (and editing) my ever-expanding novel. :-)

Won did it using crafty schemes that fit my liteary mode as lots of stories sub plots etc. Good to win but loads of work as only 1/6th of doing a proper Literary First Draft.

My first time too. Just finished about a few minutes ago. It feels so good. 50,079 I I think? Yep. I didn't finish the novel but I got 50,000 words so that's all that matters. Congrats to everyone else, even those who didn't make it. Trying is an achievement in of itself.

It's the first of December here. And nano is finally over. I finished with 54075 words and I feel so relieved. Congratulations to all who participated. It's not about if you've won but the fact that you tried it is awesome. If you've won it's just the icing on the cake

Be warned: you'll have to validate again today to get the winners' goodies, like the Scivener discount and stuff. You have to validate between the 25th and the 30th to win.

THIS IS MY FIRST EVER NANOWRIMO CHALLENGE AND I WON!!!

I am so proud of myself. I won! Now excuse me while I party my ass off.

This is my first year and I am so happy that i can say that i'm a winner! I validated at 50,034 two days ago and i nearly cried while watching the short 'Congrats' clip :') I still have a long way to go before my novel is actually finished though. But for now, I need to catch up on all my shows i missed this month! Happy writings, NaNos!

This is my first NaNo i reached 50,586 words lat night, surprisinly i beat my frined who stayedon track the whole month and i was behind from week 2... LOl i feel so happy!

Would love to say I made the deadline first time round, but I haven't, it's been amazing none the less and a huge shout out to anyone who managed, especially if you're in school at the same time, hats off to ya' I have no idea how you do it.

Finished 50k early Saturday morning (about 1, to be specific), and continued to write another 5000 since then. and i still have three chapters to write XD

I think this is my fifth year and I finally hit 50k words despite having found out that I have a terrible excuse of a climax. :( Hoping to rewrite it soon! Also completed three master's credits this month as well. No social life! lol.

This is my third NaNo, and I only got here because a good wrimo friend of mine refused to leave me behind a couple days ago. I tried to wave him on and tell him to go on without me but he stuck with me and motivated me back across enemy lines. :)
And it feels great to win! We did it guys! We wrote 50000 words! (or more) Metaphorical high fives all around!

Great to see so many winners! This was my first attempt and I decided that not finishing was not an option! Thanks to the support of my family and friends, I did it!

My first NaNo and I won! I'm so happy - I wrote 5K on Monday, and finally 10K yesterday just to catch up. O________O It was madness.

But ultimately I won some things that are better than my nifty certificate: I'll be revising my book for publishing (!!) and my author husband got back into the habit of writing everyday, since I made him write with me. ;-)

I did finish it but it won't let me update it..thanks for shooting my novel in the foot guys. :/

First timer here too! The reward for me was actually writing down 50,000 words down, and actually finishing a day early! Also, the Great Muppet Caper is my current reward.

This is my second NaNo,and last year, i only got to 12k. BUT NOW I WON!!!!! *insert happy dance here*

Being 12k behind 3 days away from the end of the month made me nervous, but thanks to sick days (and not really thanks, cause I actually was sick) I got it done!

I didn't quite make it to 5K.... but i will keep finishing until next year! do you win once you validate a novel with 5K or more words?

I won, but my brain was fried and for a little while I thought I wouldn't make it because I couldn't figure out where to go with my story, I just kept having them do mundane stuff, but I made the word count, with a lot of revisions, I think it could be great, but I did learn that I got to do alot more research.

First try First Win

1st NaNo, 1st NaNo win, 60K final total, very happy and blessed to have had this experience in self-discovery at age 54. (I first typed 52, and then I remembered that was my character's age!)

My second year, and second win! Yaaay!

Next Goal= Actually finishing the book.

Yay! Good Job! It's my first try and first win. None of my other friends won though, it's kind of lonely up here in the winner's circle.

This was my first time, and I reached and finished at 50,009. Yay!
