I know I'm kinda late, being December and all, but I just figured out the perfect title for my story, with a bit of help from my trusty can of Coca Cola, that is. Nothing like a bit of caffeine late at night (okay, it's not even late, but why so specific!?) to jumpstart your brain... Anyways, I have always found the title of my Nano novel a bit of a pain or a bore, and I've been searching for "The One" for ages. Until now. ;-; I'm so happy... the new title has like, double and triple meanings to it, and basically summarizes my story better than "Untitled" or "Home Is Where the Heart Is" or "WHY U SO DIFFICULT TO NAME!?!". Oh and it's also a paradox and / or ironic in the case of my story. <3
Anyways, do you guys usually find The One before Nano, or after nano, as it comes to you after you've written your story (or part of the story, like I've done so far)?

Woot! Congrats! It's great to finally find that little piece that's been avoiding you all month. I just now found a name for my main character (lovingly named MC throughout November...) so I know how you feel!
Normally, I have a title beforehand, but for my NaNovel...
Anything I pick, I'm just not satisfied with. Full Metal Jackie and the Mohten Sugra is just too much of a mouthful for my liking, but it's the only thing I've got right now. I just hope I can come up with something better.
A lot of times, the title is first for me, after I have an idea of the plot/when I first save the document. But I changed it once before talking to my friend and having her decide which out of a list of titles she liked best. Thus, my title was born. ^_^
I Found My Story's Missing Title!
