I've been sitting on one novel draft for two years now. I started it in 2009, won my first NaNo with it, and finally finished it in 2010. My attempts to edit it so far ended with me cringing at various glaring errors and putting off finishing.
I want this to be finished so much, but it seems that I can't manage to finish something without a hard deadline. I set one for myself: On March 31 of this year, Poplar and Mint will be polished, edited and self-published using CreateSpace.
And what do you know, I finished one more round of editing! The language is nicely cleaned up. Thorny plot and character inconsistencies will be tackled next. (It's really strange how you can forget so many important details about your story while you're in the process of writing it.)
I am making this happen.
