People should be accountable for what they say, plus it messes with people's minds when things that were there and they experienced are suddenly gone. If you expect you're going to want everything to be removed, don't put it up on the site. Or use an suitably anonymized account. However, our track record for making the archives available is pretty dismal lately. [/quote] That is unlikely to be possible; even if we were to allow deletion of all your posts, you wouldn't be able to delete your account. <a href="http://www.nanowrimo.org/en/faq/deleting-an-account" rel="nofollow">Site policy</a> doesn't allow that - accounts used for forum postings are not deleted) it wouldn't erase your internet presence. Google caches, wayback machine... the net has your data. ;) Basically, always be careful of what you post... anything you post online has the potential to be permanent. So you can't delete your account, but it eventually happens if you don't log into it for a year.
