Maybe you could sell a "pack" of them to reduce credit card fees that the NaNo site would have to pay. Cards could include ML appreciation, writing buddy support, and letting people know you are writing a novel. People can post a link to an excerpt to their novel in the card's text. They could also include graphics to be posted to Facebook for milestones. You could have an e-card "covers" contest and the winner could receive some free e-cards. A gift/encouragement kind of thing could maybe work though. NaNo Coins, good for say a discount at the OLL Store. Everyone starts out with a number of NaNo Coins but they can only use coins they recieve from others, so it would foster community. There could be a message where you can tell the person why you're giving them a coin. Wouldn't have to be a coin of course. It could be a pencil or a Viking hat. Or a...I don't know, something else. Would probably take a lot of work to implement though.
