Not getting emails from NaNoWriMo?

It seems there's some gremlins out there, snagging our top-secret, super-important emails to you! From MLs to Participants, sometimes it just doesn't get through. Need help with your spam settings? Ask here and your fellow participants and staff will see if we can figure out where your emails are going.

First step: Check your spam folder!
Second step: Make sure that you have noreply@nanowrimo.org and nanowrimo_loves_you@nanowrimo.org in your address book/white list.
Third step: Ask for help! Hopefully someone can help you troubleshoot your email settings!

Okay, I'll bite with the first question. I have both addresses whitelisted.

I'm getting stuff from nanowrimo_loves_you@nanowrimo.org, but nothing from noreply@nanowrimo.org - basically, I've been getting all of Lindsey and Sarah's messages (yay!) but not Chris Angotti's (boo). Any tips on why the emails appear to be disappearing into the void?

Also, none of the NaNo stuff is showing up in spam boxes or trash -- I triple-checked. I'm just not getting anything. Period.

I'm getting some of them - but unsure how to "white-list" or add contacts in gmail since they integrated everything in with the circles. :( Checked the spam folder - didn't see anything there either.

The only emails I'm getting are forum related after Lindsey's announcement on Oct 11 email & an Oct 18 email from my MLs.

I think the last emails I got were over the summer. I've checked the spam folder - nothing.

Further to the above(why can't you edit here??) - the nanolovesyou name is in my contacts. I've added the noreply one but since I'm not getting mail for the former I'm not holding out hope for the latter.

I've got @nanowrimo.org and @lettersandlight in my safe sender list, but the last email I've received is from script frenzy way back in April.

This just in from Dan: It is super helpful if you find emails from us in your spam folder to indicate that it is not spam. Most email clients allow for you to specify this on flagged emails. This will go a long way toward reversing the problem!

I've been getting mail from my ML, Lindsey's were in my spam folder (rescued them, but can't figure out how to indicate that they are acceptable) and Chris' never made it at all. Am using Gmail on an iPad...

I checked my Spam folder and didn't find any nanowrimo emails. Super sad!!! I did just add noreply@nanowrimo.org and nanowrimo_loves_you@nanowrimo.org to my contact list, so hopefully that will work. I need some nano love!!

So after a bunch of digging (yay for over 700 spam emails?) I found three of your e-mails and have finally got them back in their rightful place- my inbox. I shall continue to look to see if my RSVP confirmation was stolen by the gremlins as well and hidden in the depths of Spam.

What I have received:
1. e-mails from store@lettersandlight.org
2. notification digests from noreply@nanowrimo.org
3. updates from my ML, also from noreply@nanowrimo.org

I have not received anything from nanowrimo_loves_you@nanowrimo.org since March 6.

My Junk Mail and Anti-Spam folders do not automatically delete messages. I check every message diverted to these folders and don't recall ever finding Nanowrimo e-mails there. If I did, I would have moved them into my saved mail.

My ISP settings are to tag and deliver suspected junk e-mail rather than blocking or deleting e-mails before they reach my account.

I'm having the same issue as jameskearl: it's not that the emails are ending up in my spam folder, it's just that I'm straight out not getting them. I searched for nanowrimo_loves_you@nanowrimo.org and came to the same conclusion as he did; nothing since March 6. Weird but true!

I'm using hotmail.com (Canadian connection), and also haven't been getting anything at all from nanowrimo_loves_you@nanowrimo.org (junk or otherwise), only Notification Digests and ML messages from the noreply@nanowrimo.org address. I don't recall having seen Lindsay's or Chris' updates (seem to remember reading the site relaunch, but I think that I might've read it on the site...).

I have recently joined NanoWriMo and I have not received any emails. Please help, as I want to take on any information and assistance you can send my way. I very new at this and the road feels lonely, please help!

Nope, not receiving any emails. Double checked spam and added the email addresses to the safe sender list. :(

I also get any spam delivered to a spam folder and check the sender before deleting. Nothing from Nano has ended up there. (I'm on AOL.com in the UK). I also haven't seen anything from my ML.

I have two usernames, under two different email addresses. I've received no emails at either one. Nothing in spam folder (I check everyday). Can't say for certain when the last email was received, but it was months ago.

no emails received, none in spam folder. nobody in my region received my email to them.

Like a few here, I am just flat out not receiving any e-mails.

I do get some from my ML's, and updates from "NaNoWriMo" about thread updates (which did, eventually, find their way into my spam inbox, but I always verify my spam box before I (accidentally) delete anything, and returned those e-mails to my regular inbox).

The last e-mail I received that WASN'T ML or thread update related, was from Lindsay on 03/06/12, about Script Frenzy.

I checked that on my ID. Forum and post notifications are off (which is what I want) and Headquarters and Regional are on. So that isn't causing my problem.
