I really enjoy NaNo! It gives me the motivational to go above and beyond the normal amount I would write in a day and month while focusing on one subject/story.
Of the people still here by this point and time of the month, I think your survey is going to be completely biased and a straight line of just Yes! lol. But okay, yes!
This is my first year and I love it. I've met great people in my area and I've written more than ever before. I think I might actually finish a novel! (I'm a new writer so this is HUGE!)
Not this year only cuz my plans were totally effed over. Even if I do "win", that'll only be because I rebelled like crazy.
And, yeah, if you wanted something more accurate, it may have been towards the beginning of the month, but I'm guessing the assignment was given recently.
I enjoy NaNoWriMo because it motivates me to actually get some things done. I do dislike one thing about it though, that you cannot change your word count goal to a higher/lower word count. I think that the word count goal truly does make or break someone's writing. For someone who thinks of 50k as too much of a stretch, they should be able to set it to 20k or a different count. For someone like me who isn't motivated to write past the goal that everyone else is striving towards, I would much rather post my word count at 80k or so, just so that I am kept motivated to continue writing throughout the course of the month.
NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?
I'm doing a survey for school, so anyone who's willing to answer please do!
Do you like NaNo or not?
If no, why?
Re: NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?

Yes! It actually gets me off my lazy butt and makes me go do SOMETHING.

As someone that has resisted joining for a long time, yes, I am glad I did!

Re: NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?
Yes, NaNo is amazing. :)
Re: NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?
For me, NaNo has been a love/hate relationship, but overall I love it!
Re: NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?
Yes! Having a deadline gives me the motivation to get a novel written that I otherwise would never get done.
Re: NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?
Yeah, you may want to ask a more mixed group of people. Anyone who's here is just going to say YES.
Re: NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?
Just to be different, No. It's been crazy stressful and distracting and taken up all of my time. But I'm stoked that I'm finished.

Re: NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?
Yes! I can't believe I have never done it before. I have loved it.
Re: NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?
Yes! Otherwise I wouldn't be here. *G*
Re: NaNoWriMo: Yes or No?
Love it. It definitely helps motivate me to write.

Why would I be here if I didn't?
