Two Polls: Do you prefer writer's under a pename or not? And what is the genre you read the most?

I'm interested in the answers.
Poll 1. Do you prefer author's writing under a penanme or not? Even if they have ordinary names? Why or why not?
Poll 2: What genre do you read the most overall? Why?

I don't really care about whether the author is using a pen name or his/her real name.

I read equal amounts historical and contemporary fiction. Some of it romance. I love history, but I relate to contemporary literature. I got started reading romance a lot when my kids were babies; they were the right size to hold a book in one hand while feeding the baby, so I got my reading fix in spite of being so busy. I even learned to turn the pages with the hand that was holding the book.

1. I wouldn't really care if an author writes under a pen name.
2. I usually read fantasy or sci fi sometimes contemporary fiction. It usually depends on my mood.

1. It usually takes me a while to notice a pen name anyway unless it's something like Pittacus Lore.
2. I mostly read fantasy because it lets me travel to places I only wish I could go in real life.
