Goals for 2012

So, last year I completed my masters degree, found a new job, ran three half marathons, and three marathons (two of them during Nanowrimo '11), and managed to finish my novel for Nanowrimo 2011.

Which brings up the question, what does 2012 have in store?

Well, I'm going to continue running. At the moment, my schedule in January is a half and a full marathon, February is Tough Mudder Georgia, and March will be another full marathon, and either a 50k or a 50 mile trail race (Okay, I'm waffling on that last one. 50 miles, with a cut off time, is scary!)

Additionally, I'm planning to finish the edits on two of my novels (this years and two years ago), and get them on the market. Here's to hoping for publication!

Also, my wife and I are planning to bring a baby into the world. Now that's scary.

Kid will just have to learn to be brave fast ;)

Find a big goal, and go for it, folks. Life is for living.

Keith Hedger, Marathon Maniac #4522, 5 time winner of Nanowrimo, and holder of a Masters Degree in Computer Science.

Good luck with all your goals everyone - I'll be watching to see how everyone does. If I can help anyone, just shout.

Apart from the goals mentioned in a separate thread, my main goal is

To Make More Friends
Get out more (which will help in that)
Get my hip sorted out - even if it's a hip replacement. To that end even try swimming ...
Pass my course (which I can't do unless point 3 is sorted because I won't be allowed on placement :-()
Keep in touch more frequently with my lovely American friends (at least once a month)
Start believing in myself and ignoring everyone who tells me I've got nothing to offer.
As silly as it sounds, watch both series of Fame and a couple of my favourite films, and re-read the Diana Gabaldon series from start to finish (should take up the whole year, just reading those books)
STOP PROCRASTINATING and do the journals for my course when I'm meant to.

I think they are the main ones but I'll add if I think of any more. Anyone know how to add the phrase below (after my name) so that it is just there automatically and I don't have to retype it over and over again.

My goal is to get back into school and get my English degree. Creative Writing major.

I also want a job that doesn't suck too bad.

I'm going to try to learn Latin.

I'm going to start exercising regularly because my health is not so good and also it will help with my depression.

Read Lord of the Rings again.

I second the job that doesn't suck. But I guess that is where publication and more novels come in.

I am in the middle of trying to learn latin myself.

I am also going to try that 52 novels in 52 weeks.
