Anyone graduating in 2012? Nothing specific; it can be from elementary/middle/high school, college/university, etc.
It can be sad, knowing that those days we've gotten so used to are drawing to a close, but it can also be exciting, too: "You sit in the quad and think, 'Oh my god, I am totally gonna go faaaaaar...!'" As we all know all too well (hey, we are nano-ers after all), with every ending comes a new beginning! And with every beginning comes an end, lousy Mayan "prophecy" which everyone makes out to be the apocalypse...
I know for a fact that I'm graduating high school this year, but I'm that much of a fail to aim for a 90-95% average by the end of the year and apply for a crapload of scholarships and bursaries. :9
I'm an Aussie, so I graduate high school in the middle of 2012 NaNo. Big...Scary...and hopefully fun along the way too. I'm utterly terrified. Is that normal?
Graduating from high school this June! And next Nano, I'll be in art school...which will be a little scary at first.
It's really scary to think that I'll be /graduating/. And going to a college that has fewer students than my elementary school did! But hey--Nano taught me to roll with it. ;D
Graduating high school in June 2012, and very afraid.
I'm still worried over college applications and scholarships, not to mention going to college. I really want to study writing, so maybe that'll help with NaNo.
We don't call it graduating here (England!)- But I'll be leaving sixth form (i.e, your junior and senior year's of high school in the USA) in June :) Providing I get the required grades of course! :) Good luck to everyone else. With any luck I will be an English Literature student at University by next NaNo! :)
At the moment, I am mostly excited, but it often switches from terrified to excited! I know that I am going to *some* college in the fall since (thankfully) I have already been accepted to one, but I still have a lot of waiting and probably rejection to go through. But that's all right. I'm ready for it!!
I'm graduating from high school in June and so far I haven't heard back from any colleges yet. I only applied to two and I'm scared out of my mind that the one I can afford won't accept me and the private one won't offer enough scholarship money (40,000 per year o.O).
Does transferring count? I didn't apply to colleges because well I didn't apply myself in high school (ya I was one of those high school drops outs) but I am ahead of the game in the end having started community college when I was sixteen- getting all A's at my college I will be transfering out to UCLA in the fall- junior standing! So in the end, I'll be getting my bachelors 2 years ahead of my classmmates. Successs!
I'm graduating middle school this year. I'm excited for high school. I've gone to the same school with the same 20 people for the past nine years, I'm ready for some change!
I'm graduating from a mammoth crash course in counselling! I actually have a degree (which doesn't impress anyone else but tough! I'm immensely proud of my achievement). WHat happened was that the powers that be in their (not so great) "wisdom" decided to make us do a 2 year course in 9 months ... stressful isn't in it but I have a WONDERFUL tutor who has guided me through each of the courses up to now. It has taken me out of my comfort zone and, yes, I am scared but it will be fun if it means I can help people AND work at the same time!
I'm graduating college with a BA in Creative Writing (yay useless degrees^^), and by next NaNo, I will hopefully be enrolled for a "real" degree. Gee, I should've known I'll never get anything out of this damn degree -.-
Graduating high school in June! Currently sitting at a 92 average (have yet to apply for scholarships...oops!) but would like to bump it up to a 95. Next nano I will be in University studying Creative Writing, and I'm really excited!
