I had to put it all so it would make sense in context.

I'm describing my main character's daily walking route in Interlaken, Switzerland. I do so love Google Maps.
A blur of conversation and emotion splashed into something that seemed surreal the next morning, as if Dali used watercolors instead of oils and somebody spilled their drink on it.
I have totally done the same thing. My lead character bought her first house and describing her new decor was not only a great boost to word count, but also an interesting view into her style and personality.
“Adhara will be here in a moment, and I’m sure the rest of the group will want to see you as well.”
[argh, looking at that, "in a moment" looks clumsier than "soon", and "wants" would be so much better than "will want" -- but that'd mean losing words! Must... not... edit.]

There is always tomorrow for her to silently slip away, most preferably during a time when the other two are still sleeping and when she'd had enough time to loot her fair share of their rations.
