Let's Start This Thing

Yep. My wordometer reads 0 for a reason.

I haven't started yet. I could claim various reasons, but they're what they sound like - excuses.

As a matter of fact, I don't even have an outline yet.

That changes today. It's just past midnight. I'm not going to sleep until I have a decent outline that can get me to where I need to be.

I'll be getting back to my apartment at approximately 10:30-11 in the morning. I have three days off before I go back to work on Monday.

My current NaNo plan envisions 80k.

Who wants to dare me to hit the 50k by midday Sunday?

Kateness! I wondered if you were going to show up this year. Your progress way back in 2008 is what inspired me to get my first win ever that year, and to finally aim for over 50k this time around.

I'm not going to do 50k weekend, 20k is enough of a challenge for me XD.

I have no doubts you'll do it. And seconding what Dani Marchand said; '08 was my first year and seeing your word count was inspiring. Let me know it was doable.

Well, I'm at 10k now.

I'm making a bet with myself/Nano now:

If I make 50k by noon Sunday, I'll donate $100

If I make 80k by end of November, I'll donate $250.

I love this program. Time to give back.
