Yes. For ten days of this whole month - an exact third - I had written absolutely nothing. And, to add on to that, there were many more days when I did not even reach the allotted 1,667 words. To date, I have not had a day where I was at or above the average word count level. But I plan to change that today.
Currently ranking in at 45,045 words, I have to say that I could not be more proud of all of the extra work I have pushed onto myself in this past half of a week. Just four days ago, winning seemed incredibly hopeless for me. I just wanted to give up on my novel entirely. Now, is my novel even remotely close to being done at 50,000 words? No. Do I love the way my novel is turning out currently? Heck no. I am proud of simply getting this far, despite only being fourteen and this being my first NaNo. So I suppose this is just a shoutout for myself, and one to say that anything is possible [within thirty days]! A big thank you to NaNo, too, for inspiring me with the will to write again. <3

Congratulations! I'm 14 too, but last year was my first. NaNo does really jumpstart your feeling to write and makes you actually get out those words on paper, when otherwise you might get writers block, and plan meticulously what's going to happen.
