Well, it's November first! How is everyone doing? Reach their 1667 words for today? Having any issues getting started? I know I haven't! My goal is to write 2000 per day so i have a bit of wiggle room in case there are days when I don't get to write.
What's everyone up to this week? Anyone up for a write in party?
I, myself, am off to an unseasonably horrible start, due mainly to a medical emergency I had to take care of in Phoenix.
I'm actually at the first scheduled write-in right now, which, yes, was pretty poorly advertised. I'll be catching up a bit and probably using tomorrow or the next day to help get ahead. I don't think I have too much homework this weekend, either -- so there'll be a lot of
The write-ins as they're scheduled so far are for Tuesday from 5:30 to about 7:30 and Saturday from noon to "question mark" (which is code for "whenever we're all done writing." I can also schedule another or add another write-in that's happening (if it's open to the public, more or less) to the calendar, if you'd like!
Sorry about the miscommunication about that. I'll be sending out an announcement about it shortly.
Hey there. Well, I've got off to a modest start. I only did 5812 words the first day. That's a little short of my goal of 6666 words a day. (My goal this year is 200,000 words.) It's hard to make the word count on weekdays because I have to work. But I can usually get caught up on the weekends. Plus I'm off on the 11th (Veteran's Day) and of course there's always the Thanksgiving week which I get 3 days off plus the weekend. I won't be able to make any of the write-ins. I have to work at those times. But I'll be busily working on my novel (probably more than one to reach my word count). Good luck to everyone and remember: it doesn't matter if you have a slow start. Some people just need a little time to "get in the groove". :) Happy Nanoing.
3,069 today. Feels like a respectable start to me!
My absolute minimum goal is 2,000 per day (for similar reasons as stated above... so I have wiggle room for if/when something comes up and I don't make my goal a few days).
Well i can't do Tuesdays at that time at all :/ And my saturdays are usually pretty blech, at least for the next month because we still have two NAU football games left *cries* Mondays really work best for me (or late night right ins after 9 or 10)
HAPPY NANO!!!
