How is everyone? I figured I should make a thread so we can all introduce ourselves.

I'm Lidia, and I'm a sophomore at NAU. This is my 6th NaNo. I failed last year, but my schedule should work out better now, so I'm back again!

Hey, I'm Samantha! Junior at NAU but I'm actually studying abroad in Japan at the moment. This is my first time doing NaNo and I'm hoping that being here in another country will keep the inspiration going for the novel I want to attempt.

Personally I'm not trying to win but give myself the satisfaction of completing the challenge.

I'm Jyharri. Freshman at NAU. This is my second NaNo. I failed last year due to a certain situation. I'm still writing that novel though because I will finish it. I've decided to switch genres this year, going from fantasy to science fiction.

I'm Cat, also a senior at NAU (returning student - I spent a couple of years out of school trying to figure out life). This is my third year - not in a row - of doing NaNo. I made it to 50,000 my first go-round in 2008, failed miserably in 2009, and was returning home after nearly eleven months abroad right in the middle of it last year so didn't even try. I'm really excited that I'm able to take it on this year, and looking forward to our month in the trenches!

I'm a junior at FHS. I won NaNo last year, and I CANNOT wait until november! I've been planning madly since August (there are over one hundred twenty something post-its on my wall. I can't reach high enough to put anymore up).

Hey! I'm Shae- a freshman at NAU and this will be my second time attempting NaNo! I didn't finish last year, but nothing is going to get in my way this time! At this point though, I have no idea what I'll be writing about haha

Hey! I'm Julie, a sophmore at NAU, and this is my third time attempting NaNo. In past years I've tried to write both historical fiction (which I'm still writing) and mystery (which I found is really not my thing), but this year I'm going to be writing a fantasy novel.

Hi, I'm Talamay sophomore at FHS, i did nano once when i was in 6th grade, it was unofficial and i was short by 188 words, i haven't had the spirit to do it sense. But this year I'm going to do it and beyond. I've been planning for the past two months and have detoxed on caffeine(maybe bad timing for that but doctor said i had to). I have never been more ready to write in my life.

I'm Cory, also the ML for Flagstaff. It's always really awesome when I take a look in mid-October and find that the region has started itself.

I'm in my sixth year at NAU (after at least one major change) and I also work on campus.

This is also my sixth NaNoWriMo, and my third year as ML, so I've been around the block a few times, as it were. Of those five times, I've had three wins. Each of the losses has been due to either fairly extreme sickness (my first year I got so sick after trying polyphasic sleep that I was in bed for three or four days straight, getting up only once to go do a presentation. -- Last year, I wasn't sick per se, but I managed to fall on my arm and that put me mostly out of typing action for a few days.)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to another great year, and meeting new and re-meeting old friends!

Hey everyone! My name is Stephanie. Unlike everyone else, I am not a student at NAU, though I did graduate from there in May. I am finding that life after college is great--provided that one has a job, which fortunately I do! Even though it is working at my husband's family's gas station... Still, not everyone in this economy is so lucky. :( This will be my fourth year doing NaNo. I won last year and I hope to do so again this year. I don't really have a plot or any concrete ideas yet, so I am hoping inspiration strikes sometime before November 1st.

So, I'm technically not in Flag anymore (had to move back to Phoenix), but I met some of you all last November and I may come up there for a write in sometime and thought I'd say hi. :D

My name's Steph and I was a student at NAU last fall. If it helps, I was the random girl writing Harry Potter fanfic at the write-ins last year. I'm probably working on my original fantasy series this year though.

Hello! I'm Erin! I'm a sophomore at NAU. This is my first official attempt at NaNoWriMo, I've tried unofficially for the past two years but I failed miserably both years. :( So hopefully knowing that their are other writers out there attempting the same thing I am will help to keep me motivated!

Hezzo alls! I'm Sousa (Jenna) a freshmen at NAU. I am studying Anthropology and Psychology (Double Major) with Criminology as my minor. I also play the Sousaphone in the NAU marching band (Look for me at games! I'm the one with red hair who can't breath after the tuba snake!()

I tried Camp NaNo in July and I was doing really well until about halfway through when I moved and didn't have computer access for a few days and my fire just died :/ But I am uber psyched for this year! I have my story all planned out and it's live! So I shouldn't burn out at all.

Since there are so many of us on campus, we should all meet up sometime and have a major writing session together! We can keep each other motivated and share ideas.

My name is William, I graduated from NAU in 2007, and I work up here in Flag. This will be my second year NaNoing. I'll be a quasi-rebel this year: I'm doing a collection of short mysteries centered on the same characters (which is apparently NOT technically an act of rebellion), but I'll be using characters and concepts that I've used before (this collection is a sequel to my first (non-NaNo)novel.)

I attended one write-in last year, and those who were there may remember me as the bearded guy who couldn't believe other writers were in elementary school when the Harry Potter movies started coming out.

My name is Jonny and I am a senior at NAU. This is my second NaNoWriMo attempt. I fell disastrously short of 50,000 words last year, but I think 2011 may be my lucky number. Looking forward to suffering with everybody.

Hey all! Morgan here. I'm a senior at NAU studying Accounting (thrilling I know) with an English minor. This will be my first year trying this. I'm doing this with a friend down in Phoenix (yay buddy system). Looking forward to the side-effects: suffering, hair pulling, and unhelpful yelling at innocent bystanders. I'm hoping this will be a creative outlet for my hectic life. I'm totally open to any suggestions for surviving this process.
