I'm Cory, also the ML for Flagstaff. It's always really awesome when I take a look in mid-October and find that the region has started itself. I'm in my sixth year at NAU (after at least one major change) and I also work on campus. This is also my sixth NaNoWriMo, and my third year as ML, so I've been around the block a few times, as it were. Of those five times, I've had three wins. Each of the losses has been due to either fairly extreme sickness (my first year I got so sick after trying polyphasic sleep that I was in bed for three or four days straight, getting up only once to go do a presentation. -- Last year, I wasn't sick per se, but I managed to fall on my arm and that put me mostly out of typing action for a few days.) My name is Jerry and and I go by Noazmale. I've participated in NaNoWriMo since 2006. From the looks of it I guess I'm the oldest one in the group. I've lived in Flag for about 7 years now. I work for FUSD (no, I'm not a teacher, lol). I guess you could say I'm kind of prolific as a writer. And I find the 50,000 word count just too easy to reach. The first year I participated I hit the mark on day 8. So every year I raise my personal word count to see if I can hit it. And so far I have yet to fail to reach my personal goal. This year my goal is 200,000 words for the month of November. And not to be tooting my own horn but I fully expect to hit my goal. Of course I will probably have to write several stories to reach my goal but, hey, that's not a bad thing. Good luck to everyone and hope y'all win this year.
