(Hopefully I've chosen the right location for this thread.)
The Foster City Public Library (in Foster City) is organizing 4 write-ins every Tuesday of this month for NaNoWriMo. It'll be from 7pm to 8pm in the homework center (to the right of the entrance) and we'll provide refreshments. There are plenty of outlets, so you can bring a writing utensil of your choice.
So, the first meeting is Nov 6th, 7pm. You don't have to RVSP but it would be nice to get a rough estimate of attendees! There should be space enough for about 10.
So I don't know the forums very well and kept clicking "My posts". It only showed my first topic post and I thought nobody replied. Happily, I was wrong!
The "icebreaker" meeting was really interesting for me, especially hearing how everyone writes, the different writing groups available, and what genres we're focusing on.
For the next meetings, we're aiming for 45 minutes of writing and 15 minutes of brainstorming / chatting afterwards. But I'll probably be there early (before 7) in case anyone wants to babble out writing / plot / characters with me. :)
And I'm always looking for new writing buddies!

Just as a heads up, we're formatting our books in preparation for publishing and to continue our writing rants on Tuesdays in December, 7-8pm at the same location in Foster City. All writers (50k or under!) welcome!

Good luck Nano-ing, all!
I'll try to make the November 20th one. Have other commitments the other 2 tuesdays.
I will probably be at some, if not all of them. I live in San Mateo, so this MUCH more convenient than any of the other write-ins :)
Thank you! Love this.
It turns out I'm out of town for part of November, but I'll try to make at least one or two.
1/2 a mile away from my house? guess i have no excuses now! will try to make one.... or all!
Excellent! Close to work, I can stop by on my way home.
Thanks!
I'll be there! if just to meet my fellow writers!
Ahhh I probably can't make tonight's, because I am FAR too emotionally invested in the election
and am drinking during it. Next week for sure, though! So I don't know the forums very well and kept clicking "My posts". It only showed my first topic post and I thought nobody replied. Happily, I was wrong!

I absolutely loved our meeting! It's exciting to have writing buddies. Hope we continue.
It should be fun! Will you make the next meeting as well?
