We’d love to invite you all to the Pan-Bay Thank God It’s Over Party held on Saturday, December 1 at Root Division in San Francisco’s Mission District (http://rootdivision.org/contact.html) from 7 PM to 10 PM!
We’re inviting all our local Wrimos from the South Bay to Marin, so this is your chance to celebrate your faces off with friends both old and new!
There will be drinks (by donation), NaNo merch (so bring cash), mingling, music, an optional reading, super special gold crowns available to NaNoWriMo winners, an insane amount of candy left over from the write-a-thon, and a victory speech given by the amazing Lindsey Grant.
Print out two pages of your novel (to hang on the wall and/or read at the reading) and hop on over to Root Division (http://www.rickshawstop.com/directions/) in San Francisco for a party of literary proportions thrown by NaNo HQ!
What more could you ask for (other than unicorn rides)?
THE DETAILS:
When: Saturday, December 1 from 7 PM to 10 PM.
Where: Root Division Gallery in San Francisco (http://rootdivision.org/contact.html)
Who: You and everyone you know. This event is all ages!
What to bring: Your writerly self, your groupies, and two pages of your novel to hang in the space. If you want to read from your book, bring two extra pages for the reading.
Parking there is a pain - I'm toying with parking at the Millbrae bart station and taking the train from there. Maybe better to do a bartpool gathering?
I just Google maps-ed it (is that a verb? Well now it is), and it claims to just be a five minute walk from 16th St Mission station. Chances are that we would have that even if we parked up there.
So I posted this in the Stanford thread, but I figured I might as well drop it here too -- I'm getting a ride from Stanford with Whitney Peets, the South Bay ML. There are three more spaces in the car, so if anyone wants to come, contact one or both of us so we can figure it out. :)
Hey KindleQueen! We met at the TGIO party. It's so awesome to have found you on here. It was quite the event, especially considering the rain that was steadily pouring that evening.

oooh... Hey SF Pen Crew...want to organize a carpool up to this??
Parking there is a pain - I'm toying with parking at the Millbrae bart station and taking the train from there.

I was also thinking of BARTing (either by driving up to Millbrae or Caltraining to Millbrae and switching to BART).
Bartpool sounds good! Do we know that the place is accessible relatively easily from BART?
I just Google maps-ed it (is that a verb? Well now it is), and it claims to just be a five minute walk from 16th St Mission station. Chances are that we would have that even if we parked up there.
Woot! I can drive people to BART from Redwood City...I can fit 3 comfortably...shout out if you want a spot!

I'm here at the sandwich shop just down the street across from the gas station. I'm hoping I'll meet some people from our region at the party. :-)
The party was fun, it was great to meet people from my region and beyond. Looking forward to seeing all of you next year!
