I'm thinking it might be a good idea to have a write-in in Chinatown for the folks on the green line and downtown red line. Anybody know of a good place?
We (myself, taja, sarka, and three or four other people) just had a good plotting session pre-NaNo at Chinatown Coffee, it's at H street and 5th, very very close to Chinatown metro stop. I highly recommend Chinatown coffee. They have good coffee (reasonably priced imo), snacks, and they also have beer, wine, and absinthe for those interested. There's not a ton of room there but they have free wifi and if it's not busy it's a good place for a write-in.
Plus it's a local place and I put up a NaNo flier there earlier today, so more people in the shop might join us!
Chinatown Coffee on 5th and H is open until 8pm Monday through Wednesday, to 9pm Thursday and Friday, and to 7 pm Saturday and Sunday. I'm pretty partial to that place. They've got good coffee, absinthe, and they'll turn the music down if you get distracted by it. They're also really nice people.
I'd like to go to the Georgetown write-in on Thursday, but I'd also LOVE a Chinatown write-in, so any day besides Thursday would be best for me.
Tentatively Tuesday starting at 6pm (feel free to come late), at Chinatown Coffee on H street by 5th, north side of the road. From the metro stop, leave the Chinatown H street exit, go to the right a few blocks and cross the street up.
and if anyone's interested this next Tuesday we can have an election night gathering somewhere right after the write-in and have a beer in celebration (or misery depending on who you're rooting for) of the results. Anyone interested in that?

MLK jr. Memorial Library? It is open 1-5 Sunday and until 9 p.m. on Monday & Tuesday.

What day/time would people be interested in?
I can probably do it M, W, or Th around 7:15-7:30ish
I'd be interested but as I work retail, my schedule is kind of iffy at best.
This. Chances are you will never see Nikk3x3 and I in the same place at the same time unless it's after 10pm. Or unless you're in our store, I guess.

I'd be in, I'm available on Tuesdays.
I'm busy most evenings, but I'd try to go to a Chinatown write-tin.
Tentative Tuesday at China Town Coffee,
starting at 6:00 or so and going till 8 or 9 or whenever they kick us out?
If there's a better date/time for as many people as possible though please let us know!
Tuesday works for me. Thursday and Friday also work.
Ditto.
Ok, I'll throw in with a vote for Tuesday!
looks like the consensus is Tuesday so far, that has my vote as well.
Let me know what you decide...I'll add it to the calendar.

Does anyone want to meet up Tuesday the 6th (tomorrow) at Chinatown Coffee? Say, around 6 pm to 9 pm?
Let me know...I'll add it to the calendar.
