Write-Ins: Coffy Cafe, Columbia Heights--Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:30pm

Hi all!

I just wanted to go ahead and consolidate some regular Columbia Heights write-ins for the next couple of weeks. Coffy Cafe has lots of space, plenty of quiet, several plugs, free internet, and--as I found out last night--delicious sandwiches!

Where: Coffy Cafe, 3310 14th St. NW, Washington, DC 20010

When: Mondays (11-19 and 11-26) and Wednesdays (11-21 and 11-28), 6:30 pm to 9 pm

Directions: Metro Green line; walk north from Metro exit on 14th street, cafe is right north of 14th and Park intersection (the fountain intersection), on west side of 14th street; there is free 2 hour street parking in 13th street and on various side streets

Agreed! Thanks for the suggestion - I fell off the nano map a bit this week with big papers due in the classes I'm teaching, so I'll also look forward to trying at least once a week there!

I hope to attend at least one of these! Just don't mention word counts around me. I'm sensitive :)

Sorry we didn't make it out tonight (Monday)--moving house kinda ate our day.

But Jonathan and I will still come out Wednesday evening, if anyone else wants to show!

Is anyone planning on going to the write-in tonight? I have to see how the next few hours pan out before I know if I'll be able to make it.

Tajavi and i are not feeling too great for going tonight, so unfortunately we're skipping tonight. I hope you all get some great writing done whether you go tonight or next week. We'll probably feel back to normal after turkey day winds down on the weekend. Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Just to REAFFIRM to the gang - I'll be continuing to meet most mondays and wednesday at Coffy in Columbia Heights around 6:30pm to continue working on my novel. I have a list of about 15 people who wanted email signups. Message me if you would like reminders about the write-ins in December and beyond.

Yes, Jonathan and I would like to start coming to these. We'll see if we can come Wednesday! :)

I'm going to try! I "discovered" an extra scene after finishing the 1st round that I wanted to do before really going back through and revisiting. It's just a matter of staying out that long now after the school day w/o all my stuff to grade for other school - so if not now, will try another session soon! I do hope this continues!
