Any interest in a CTA write in?

If you think you might like to participate in a CTA write in (we'd get on a train and write while we ride around and around) chime in with dates/times that would work for you! If we've got enough people we'll put something together.

I'm interested and flexible in terms of scheduling.

I'd be interested, although I'd suggest the metra over the regular cta trains. The space is better for laptop users and generally cleaner and safer.

So in! Evenings are best for me, or any time on the weekends, more or less.

Hmm... this is tempting. My secondary MC is a CTA mechanic, and I considered taking the Brown Line up to Kimball one day to walk around for a bit and get a feel for the station where I have him working. And, the urine smell will add to the ambiance. LOL!

Let me know when you're doing this, and I'll see if it meshes with my schedule.

Yes, yes, YES PLEASE! I met one of my best friends on a CTA write-in! It's great fun and totally awesome. I'd have to vote against the Metra, though, just because it costs more to ride and there's less flexibility on when people decide to go home, since they'd have to wait for the next Metra running the opposite direction.

Tentatively I'm thinking maybe the Saturday or Sunday afternoon of Thanksgiving weekend? How would that sound to people?

I'll be out of town that weekend :( (which is going to be a major time sucker anyway in terms of writing)

I'll be out of town that weekend as well. While "socializing" with family, I'll be glued to my laptop while listening to stories of how their kids are doing in school and stuffing my face with too many desserts. LOL!

The CTA is where I get the bulk of my writing done, and I work in the surbs the rest of the week. For the first time I'm pumped about my hour commute by Metra! I'm going to make 25K by the end of the weekend, for sure!

I could do the Metra... though I'd be a fan of the UPNW line personally... ok I'm a bit biased, I live near the Barrington stop...

Think this sounds totally cool. I'm sure there would be great material on the CTA. I'm totally free Sunday of thx giving weekend. Saturday would be tough. Am coming to the write in tonight. I caught up last Monday and then promptly fell behind again Wed ;)

My vote would be for CTA, sometime after Thanksgiving...
