Here's a ton of helpful links and information to help you get started in the Chicago forum! The Municipal Liaisons (MLs) in Chicago are here to help guide you all through the turbulent November currents, all the way through to December 1st. Please don't hesitate to ask us any quesitons that you may have... we're here to help you reach that victorious 50,000 word mark! <strong>Attention all New and Returning Wrimos!</strong> Be sure you are affiliated with Chicago by making sure that you've clicked the "Join Region" button at the top of the <a href="http://www.nanowrimo.org/en/regions/usa-illinois-chicago" rel="nofollow">USA::Chicago::Illinois</a> page. Then go to <a href="http://www.nanowrimo.org/en/regions" rel="nofollow">your regions</a> and make sure the home icon next to Chicago is selected. Or from the My NaNoWriMo menu, choose <a href="http://www.nanowrimo.org/en/select_region" rel="nofollow">Set My Home Region</a> and select Chicago from the drop-down list on that page. Once you've done that, be sure to introduce yourself in the Welcome thread! <strong>2011 Events Calendar</strong> Take a look at the header on our Chicago Region page for all of the upcoming events in our area! Any event with a star (*) in front of it is an OFFICIAL EVENT! This means that an ML will be present, and they'll have swag with them, as well as donation boxes for our Book Drive! A full calendar of events can also be found at <a href="http://www.chiwrimo.org" rel="nofollow">chiWriMo.org</a>. <strong>What is ChiWriMo?</strong> ChiWriMo is the local Chicago NaNoWriMo chapter. We participate in events year round outside of NaNo, and have a lot of fun.
