There is a new gang in town....Our hideaway is 95th Street Caribou and we meet Wednesdays from 8 until 1 or later. New gang members welcome...come tooled up with your laptop and your handy buy fifty-seven get one free card. If your lucky you will get to see ThePiratess Bench Press a Reindeer (it is really NOT as interesting as it sounds ;)). [/quote] We are not colour prejudice .....Red is a cute red head which is why we call her Red (as opposed to the colour she goes when I tell the staff in Caribou that she is my wife)..... we just oppose those with a 9 to 5 work ethic....We mourn your absence every Wednesday...I would say bring the kids but I'm not insane :) Though we have to work out when we can all meet up....We have major Squid withdrawal symptoms!!!

Wait, Red's your wife now? This is a new development. I had not heard this... WHAT HAVE I MISSED IN MY ABSENCE? Technically, I have an over achieving 8-5 work ethic, rather than 9-5. Because I like to go above and beyond. And you guys better work it out--Squid withdrawal is a terrible thing to go through. Thankfully, I have the cure. (Or I am the cure.)

I just might take you up on that offer ... as long as I don't have a temp assignment on any given Wednesday. Sounds like a good time to get some dedicated writing (and smoking, and talking, and Facebooking as long as David is there) time in. And if you're experiencing squid withdrawal, I have the next best cure for ya ... Q*BERT!!!!! No tentacles, but that might be a good thing, since they have not been trained to type at super human speeds. No telling what my unoccupied tentacles would do. If I had them.

I'm thinking of organizing something at the Naperville Caribou on Tuesday evenings. (Since the Downer's Grove one may change to a different night in January.) And/Or possibly the Naperville Caribou on Sunday. Not sure about every week though. Maybe once or twice a month. (Although people could make it weekly if they wanted, I just might not be there every week.) I might also be able to commit to the Batavia Caribou for one Sunday afternoon a month, but not until January.

Yeah, I know, but I meant the one near Dominick's where Katherine had her write-ins. The one on 95th is just too far for me. Not that it matters now. Doc has shut down my public exposure.

I have autoimmune issues, so I'm on a cancer med to disable my immune system. It leaves me unable to fight off the random virus and bacterium. So doc makes me stay home. It's a life-long adventure! LOL He got mad at me for going to all the write-ins. I'm such a rebel!

Coupon for $2 medium drink at Caribou on 12/14/11 It's worth joining Caribou's email by the way. (Can then just show the email on your phone and don't have to print out the coupon, but they send emails about $2 drinks several times a year.)

i'd be up for batavia and/or dominicks caribou in the evenings or during the weekend (this month will be tough during the week, though... pretty busy with work). 95th street during the weekend is fine for me too.

Sorry I didn't make it this week. Had to help someone set up their Kindle Fire and teach them how to use it. Paying gigs will take precedence in this all-too-material world :) ... think I have an assignment that might lead to a permanent position - only problem is the company is based in Glenview. Now looking forward to that drive, but it's possible that a lot of it can be done remotely. Fingers crossed!!!
