Daily Writing Quote

Sorry all, I forgot to post this yesterday, so you get a double header today. I'm going to post an inspirational writing quote every day during November.

I do a first draft as passionaltely and as quickly as I can. I believe a story is valid only when it's immediate and passionate, when it dances out of your subconscious. If you interfere in any way, you destroy it. Let your characters have their way. Let your secret life be lived.
-Ray Bradbury

Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.

The best thing about writing fiction is that moment where the story catches fire and comes to life on the page, and suddenly it all makes sense and you know what it's about and why you're doing it and what all these people are saying and doing, and you get to feel like both the creator and the audience. Everything is suddenly both obvious and supriising ("But of course that's why he was doing that, and that means that...") and it's magic and wonderful and strange.
