Evening of Scribing Recklessly - November 20 at MoKaBe's 5-11PM

It's time for the annual Evening of Scribing Recklessly! MoKaBe's has kindly agreed to host us again this year. They're located at 3606 Grand, at Arsenal. We will have the upstairs area reserved as we have in the past. The event will take place from 5-11PM, come and go as your please. The event is free, but if you are able to make a donation it is very much appreciated. Also please keep in mind that MoKaBe's is giving up a large area for us, so if you are able to buy a drink and/or snack (they have dinner items as well, menu on their website) I'm sure they will appreciate it. They aren't charging us to use the space so we'd like to stay in their good graces for next year :)

So if you aren't able to afford to fly to San Francisco for the Night of Writing Dangerously, join us right here in St. Louis for our own little event and boost your wordcount!

Its going to be a fun weekend - company's "holiday party" on the Friday, then I have tickets to see Jim Gaffigan at the Fox on Saturday. THEN the Evening of Scribing Recklessly? I'm either going to super inspired, or super behind on my wordcount ... either way I think I need to be there!

Sounds fun! And I know everyone had a blast last year. Count me in.

OH I love MoKaBe's! I won't be able to make it though; being a single mum has its disadvantages when it comes to getting out of the house >.<

Is the upstairs at Mokabe's going to be really and truly reserved this time, or is it up to us to grab tables as they empty? I ask because last year there were some shy WriMos (is that a bit redundant?) who sat off to the side, away from the larger area a couple of steps up from them, and didn't take part in the word wars or raffles because the rest of us weren't aware that they were there for the EoSR.

Regardless of what the answer is, If you see a bunch of people with laptops in the large upstairs area, please come in. If there's no more room, at least come over and say hi, and point out the table where you'll be sitting. There's no reason we can't include you in the frivolity, but we won't necessarily assume that the people in that other alcove are part of our group.

Yay! Jen I can officially come! We are getting a hotel Saturday night and we can probably stay for the first two hours of this before heading back to Cdale.

I may no be able to make it due to the fact the 20th is my daughter's 8th birthday.

Assuming I remember, I'll be there. :)

Gah I will be in a car driving from St Louis to Branson while you all get to sip coffee and get ahead on your novels.

looks like I won't be coming out. This is the first sunday I've had off in weeks, and my boyfriend, who is a fountain of patience, has been severely neglected due to my writing project and my busy gig schedule of the last several weekends, and..., well..., he's serving grilled steak and brussels sprouts, then we're gonna watch Dexter. How can I turn him down?
