Okay, so tomorrow (Tuesday) is 11-22-11. Or, if you're in Europe, it's 22-11-11 or something like that it. But you know what that means? Every single one of those numbers (month, day, year) is a double number.
I think this is clearly a sign that it's the perfect day to double your word count for the day. So who's willing to join me on this Epic Tuesday? If you're falling behind, this could be a great opportunity to catch up or even get a little bit ahead in case you fall into a turkey-induced coma on Thursday and can't write then. We're nearing December, the Month of Sleep, so don't worry about losing 30 or so of those 40 winks!
In addition, there are plenty of opportunities to get out of the house tomorrow and get your write on. I'll be hitting up the Maplewood Library on 7550 Lohmeyer Avenue at 6, and there's the West County write-in at the Barnes & Noble at the West County Mall! Come be social, and double your word count along with me.
So...who are the other crazy vict—adventurers celebrating Epic Tuesday with me?
Double my word count? Yikes. In my case, that would be seriously scary. But I plan on hitting the West County write-in if I'm not too sick, if it's still on. It seemed to have been cancelled last week? I forgot to post a query after I got home, but I didn't see the reserved table anywhere....
I want to go to the one tomorrow 'cause I'm not going anywhere near a mall after Thanksgiving. Too much craziness.
I'm in! I've been averaging 2000 words a day, but have missed a day here and there, and I'd really like to be finished by saturday. I have a few harp students at Central High School in the morning, then I have to get turkey day groceries, but then I have a few hours free to write before my students start coming for lessons. I'm teaching til 7:00, but if I can get my act together, I'll try to make it to the get together at the Maplehood library too (I only live 5 minutes away).
Double!? Ha! Hahahahahaha! Even at the Evening/Night of Scribing Recklessly, I only managed 1.5 times my current daily word count. But if I don't fall asleep in my comfy home tonight, I'll be at the library, hopefully sprinting along with the rest of the loonies doing NaNo this year.
I really wish we had "It's an Epic Tuesday And We Don't Care" T-shirts. They can even have Chainsaw, in honor of last week's Chainsaw Tuesday.
You know I'm going to be egging you on if you come to the write-in, Robert. I'll leave the pom-poms at home, but other than that: no promises. Yay, Epic Tuesday! (Hopefully) see you at the library, HarpSinger!!
