I second the write-in motion! I don't have a car so it's unlikely that I'll attend any outside of UB. Is anyone free next saturday/sunday for the first weekend november (aka no classes :) )

No, after graduating UB I moved to NYC and worked in both public and special libraries there. Then I "retired" at age 31 and went into the music business! From quiet to LOUD, hee hee. But I miss the library world and being surrounded by books!
I'm at UB. Linguistics. This is my first NaNoWriMo. :D
Any times yet for this write-in?
Or, if anyone ever wants to meet up, I always sit in the Baldy Hall walkway on the second floor. I always wear a black sweater and black boots and I have red hair and black square glasses. My name is Cassie. :D
What about this saturday the 5th around 4 in starbucks? or maybe in the lobby by the theatre in the union- comfy chairs and outlets. That's where I spend alot of time between classes.
The only problem for me with that is that I always work Saturdays. I was thinking of setting up a couple, so that people who've got work or class would still be able to attend. :D
Starbucks at 4 on Sat. sounds good to me! I quite like the environment at Starbucks; it's always seemed so writer-friendly to me. And plus, I have a reception I have to go to at 7, so some caffeine beforehand couldn't hurt.
I'm going to be up on Campus in the lobby of Baldy Hall This Saturday and Sunday all day (Nov 5th and 6th noon-midnight) There is a gaming convention going on there.
I'm going to be providing supervision while hopefully typing up a storm, and anyone who wants to say hi, is welcome to pull up a chair or even challenge me to a word war.
It won't be a quiet place, but I'll see about making sure there is power for laptops.
If you're uncertain of where I am you can ask anyone in the building where "Hoffman" is, and you'll find me.
Saturday sounds great! I was going to go to the North Buffalo write-in but the time on this one is soo much better for me. I tend to stay up far too late doing homework and then sleep until 11am...
UB anybody?
I refuse to believe that I'm the only Nanoer representing UB- who else is out there?

I'm an alum - MLS too. And I'm currently trying to get hired as an adjunct lol. I work down the street from North Campus too.
Re: UB anybody?
How cool, Bookishgirl - what year? 1993 for me. I wonder how many librarians are on here?
Re: UB anybody?

I'm friendlier than my picture implies.

Re: UB anybody?
I graduated from UB in '10 and still have friends there, I'll take any excuse to go back :)
Re: UB anybody?
Just wanna make sure, are we talking about North Campus? I've no idea if there's a Starbucks on South so I want to be sure to go to the right one.
