Here is where you make your voice heard on what you'd like to see/have happen this year and which dates and times work well for you.
For those of you in the Tri-cities/Johnson City area, it is currently my stomping grounds and actual write-ins and such will be held there. I have Panera and Barnes and Nobles jotted down as potential locations and am currently working with the East Tennessee State University 's Sherrod Library as a third location. They are open to hosting us a few times a week, the atmosphere is pretty nice and there is an Einstein and Bros. bagel shop/cafe in the library lobby. I'll update this post when I have more information.
Current days I am looking at are, Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
I am working to get some online options together for everyone else, Google Hangouts and a Chatroom are my present options.
I am open to suggestions and feedback, please let me know what works and what doesn't or if you know of a way to make the Nano experience better for everyone. Thank you! ^_^.
I think I have a good idea for a write-in spot... The store isn't huge, though. How many people normally make it to a write-in in JC? If it isn't too many, I'll drop the idea by the owner.
Alright- if you like I can give you her contact info or I can just plan the party with her and we will post to announce the day- which, by the way, what date would be good? The only days she already has events are the 11th and first friday, so anything else should be fare game. The store I would like to host an event at is called Caravan Mystique at 127 Spring St. It is great writing atmosphere and any time I have ever been stumped I just look around the store, and I am bound to fall upon something to spark up the flow again. I think everyone else would enjoy it, too :)
@genaverse, I've just set up the thread for time/location votes. I'm thinking the Tri-cities kick-off will be this coming Friday, between 5-6PM, location still to be set.
don't know how it would work much but I could offer my home up for a write in, with my usual gaming set up I can get about 8 people around a 2 tables in my living room...
With so many of us going to ETSU, it wouldn't be hard to meet up in small groups on campus for mini-write ins between classes or what not. Just throwing that out there, I'm on and off campus constantly Mon-Thursday.
Kick-off parties, Write-ins and more!

About six or so on average last year. I'm hoping for a few more, but I'd estimate kind of low at the moment.

What times on those days is it likely that people will meet?

Re: Kick-off parties, Write-ins and more!
Thank you! That is quite generous. ^_^
Re: Kick-off parties, Write-ins and more!
Hey I live on campus at ETSU, that would be ridiculously convenient for me! Let me know!
Re: Kick-off parties, Write-ins and more!
I also live on campus, so I will definitely be there!
Re: Kick-off parties, Write-ins and more!
I live in Kingsport, but I could easily make it to a JC write-in on Wednesdays or Fridays ^.^

Re: Kick-off parties, Write-ins and more!
Will campus even be open tomorrow? Veteran's day and all. I don't have classes on Fridays so I had no reason to even think about it until just now.
Re: Kick-off parties, Write-ins and more!
I don't see any mention of closing on the academic calender, so I'm going on the basis that my professors expect me to show up tomorrow. ^_^
