I've played about five times over. I'm not going to spoil anything for you, but it can quickly go to moving you to tears in the later parts. That's it. Okay, I'm going to turn off the spoiler button. Okami. The graphics are why I love it. For me, games have to have good graphics. And Okami just takes it all to a different level and then drops some awesome bombs on the place. I haven't played it in years-I had to borrow a friends copy because I have no money-but I want to play it again. I can remember all of it, too, especially how frustrating it was sometimes.

I lurve Okami :D My avatar on the forums used to be Waka, actually. He's my favorite, with his little flute and glowy sword. Not to mention the Frenchiness -swoon- Okay fangirlism aside... -cough cough- agreed, it's definitely a ~~great~~ fantastic game that deserves more recognition. I remember when I tried finding it in the stores when it first came out- nearly effing impossible -.- I finally found one, just one, practically hidden in a GameStop. I have to say that some of my favorite parts of the game are the goodies at the end (the different skins) and the music; it's so pretty/intense/toogoodtobetrue. So like, does anyone else have the official art book? Cuz like, if you don't, definitely get one: it's AMAZING. The binding on mine is falling apart due to the many times I've looked through it xD

*eye twitches* Shoot me now. The name, it corrupts my screeeeeennn. I actually have Lily refer to him as 'the French crossdresser' throughout my fanfic Prelude to the Rising Sun. A LOT of reviewers comment on this. In other news, I didn't even know there WAS one :O *runs to Amazon screaming GIVE ME BOOK I WANT BOOK RAWR* I remember when I got my copy of Okamiden it was a few months after release. I tried the local mall GameStop first and was practically "T-T"ing when they told me they were out of stock, asked if I wanted the Wii version and I just stared. "Yeah... no. Wrong game out of the TWO." They directed me to one closer to home that had one copy in stock, though~ Love the games and I believe it'll be high time to write an angry letter to Capcom if we don't get a third game. They owe us that much.

I know, right? Actually, I was talking about the normal getup, but whatever. And, er, I'm the anti-fangirl... *laughs nervously and is shot* Oooh, ouch, Cinto. I literally almost had a heart attack during that part... both plays through... (and haven't beaten the game, got to the first stage of the final boss fight and was both crying and swearing the whole time) Several heart attacks. That minigame SCARED me XD It's crazy how right now I'm both talking to you guys and one of my online best friends who's a total fangirl, but that's okay because she's a fellow self insert writer and at least Celia's on my side. ^.^

Look up TheCrazyAuthors on FFN. In the Okami section I've got Rewind (a parody), What I've Become (Okamiden oneshot that went off from its original intent and was sort of dark but of course humor comes of the control pad), His Lily (spinoff romance songfic for ALBN, which I'm getting to), A Lily Blooming in Nippon (otherwise known as ALBN, which is a FINISHED (woot!) self insert), Prelude to the Rising Sun (Sequel to ALBN. Never finished, but planning on it.), and... I think I listed them all :/ --wait, no, there's Sleepover, an Okamiden fic that's kind of self explanatory from the title. And I swear it's only rated T for occasional swearing. (wow, redundancy...) That's it in a nutshell, I believe.

Okami is one of my favorite games. I'm holding out for the art book for Christmas :D Waka would have to be my favorite character, followed closely by Issun and Ammy. I love the music to the game just as much as I love the graphics - there's some really awesome piano arrangements of some of the songs that I love to play. (The Sun Rises, anyone?) Aw, now I want to play it again, and I don't think I'll have time until NaNo's over... -sadface-

Well, basically you get a new game + while keeping your stats. If you collected all of a certain something in the first game, you practically achieve level Mary Sue, but awesome--all your stats are stuck at full, AKA you're invincible, you get an insanely powerful weapon to keep through the playthrough and the next and the next, and.. and... *thinks* I don't remember. *shot* In Okamiden, you get an insanely cute, epic scene for the credits. I advise that you get there and enjoy it to its fullest.

I love Okami, it was a challenge I throughly enjoyed. Though, I enjoy both Zelda and Okami :P My favorite character is.. Okami XD I just love playing as a wolf/godess, plus the graphics are great! I don't have a DS so I may not get to play Okamiden for a long time.

To be invincible, you have to collect 100 of these beads. I've never gotten all of them, as one of them is virtually impossible to get unless you wanna mark your TV screen, take a picture or record it. Basically, there's this rock demon whose brethren you encounter throughout your journey, and in order to pass (he's like a giant talking wall), you have to mark, in sequence, the dots that appeared on his face. The trick is memorization, as with the last guy, a billion dots appear and disappear so fast you're like wuuuuuut. Other than that, the other beads are pretty simple, and there's other things you can do to get other goodies, such as concept art and videos, a music jukebox, and different 'skins' that change Okami's appearance into different dog breeds (even a plain wolf, a stone one, and a highly realistic looking wolf (my fav by far)). For those things you have to do things like... collect a certain number of coins/praise, kill a certain amount of enemies, and ect. Whew xD

Even though it looks like you guys have abandoned this place, quick question: Does anyone else see a strong resemblance in Fi from Skyward Sword's story to a certain character from Okamiden's? Because I just realized that's what that feeling of deja vu was when I figured out Fi's story...

I've never played Skyward Sword orz It's too expensive... On an Okamiden-note, i got to the part where you're in the dark realm and you rescue Nanami... and beat the two A. Dokuro, + Anura boss, and realized i hadn't saved. I was like "aoisdhklfhagflahksgtaehfsahdslkJALK ARAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHH" *bangs head on wall*

It's been FOREVER since I played Harvest Moon o.O I played Another Wonderful Life ("... How much longer till the end of the game? Two months? NOPE just send her back to bed, screw the crops.") and Magical Melody ("How the frick did my character that I gave literally NO NAME TO turn out to be the only one that succeeded? Sort of?")... There's also My Little Shop, which I kind of failed at. All three are broken now. Yippee.

My record is too many to count. XD I leave my discs out of their cases a LOT... *winces* And both my copies of Twilight Princess, I left them in the cases and they STILL broke. *grumble grumble* At least a few of the games that matter still work! (As in, Okami/Okamiden, The Bouncer, Ocarina of Time... Crystal Chronicles is trapped in my burnt out Wii, though... *cries*)

Omfg, I love this game. :) Never played Okamiden though. Too bad I currently don't have much time for games. The only thing I never tried figuring out was how to use the swords properly. xD (I have the Wii version, btw.)

Actually, you helped me fix it! I went back to my room after seeing that and messed around with the front of the Wii, it finally works now. Turns out the front was loose. ^^ So now I'm playin' some Skyward Sword ("Master, your HP is l--" "SHUT UP FI. YOU'RE AN AWESOME SIDEKICK BUT STFU."), among other things. Thank you for the idea! My Wii and I are very grateful. ... why do I sound like the Happy Mask Salesman XD
