I am doing it this year! As I said on citizen, I have done and won Nano for the past 4 years. I usually am a little more prepared than I am this year, which is scaring me a little.

So what is everyone writing about?

I usually write romance novels. This year I am thinking of doing one about Amazons. (You know, the warrior women)

I guess I don't need to tell you how, Pyro! And we wouldn't start without you, Gesslar.

You can start without me if you want, I won't hold it against you. I'm making an attempt at things this year, since last year was pretty much literally impossible to do. I'm not all that prepared at all, so I'm just going to wing it in whatever little spare time I can find in Afghanistan heheh. For those that don't know, this is Bael. Infamous, I know.

I'm going to give this another try. I've tried about 5 times and never finished, then got a degree in writing and stopped doing NaNo altogether! Go figure.

Ohhh and this is Callerre. Just didn't use my Thresher name when I signed up a few years ago.

I really want to finish it this year. I usually get a couple of thousand words in then die. It's Katriel by the way, but I signed up here quite a while ago :D

So is everyone ready??? I really am not!! Last year I was way more prepared. I had my outline by now and actually came up with pictures of what my characters looked like. This year.. nothing. BAH. Though as inspiration for you all, my very first Nano year, I started on Nov. 4th with no idea what the heck I was doing. I finished that year. A very bad novel, but I finished.

I had really planned out outlining and doing character sheets and writing up all the political and economic and social aspects of the world I'm writing in... but I never got around to it, so I'm winging it. A little nervous about that, but then again, I've never actually finished NaNo, so there's nothing to lose!

And we are off everyone! Hope people are doing their best to keep up with word counts. I'm 200 words behind at the moment! Hopefully will catch up later today.

I am ahead by 400! Now that I know what my book's about, it'll be all that much easier.

I am soooo behind on word count. I left my little zippy drive with my novel on it at work by accident, and then was off for two days due to the worst migraine of my LIFE. Time to really get cracking. Hopefully I can use the weekend to catch up.

I am keeping on track with my word count, but I usually like to be ahead due to life's little things that pop up to keep you from writing. So it is stressing me out a little that I am not more ahead than I should be.

This Nano book is really dragging for me! Ugh. I should have done what Haly did and wrote about her Thresh character. I have known Ismenia for over 10 years and it would be easy to do! Maybe next year.

Sooo how is everyone doing?? Who quit? Who is still plugging along??

I am still going though it is getting harder and harder to get the words in, but I am doing it.

Keep going!! Just think only 8 more days to go and we are done! Phew! I am finding every possible excuse not to write these days and I have to stop it.
