I'm currently constructing a model of the town my novel takes place in, so i have a 3D map of my world when i come to write about it. Anyone else doing similar?

Hey! I am GreenEyes Trenchcoat in SL. I love attending the virtual write-ins at the nanowrimo hangout in SLiterary. I hope we can get a good group going again this year for daily/weekly write-ins!

yes, Sparkling. The name comes from me getting frustrated with the lack of available names any MMORPG I play, so I picked a random object to name my character after and just just so happened to be a bottle of Sparkling Mineral Water. The name Sparkling has just sort of stuck for any sort of MMO I play now, lol.

Good to see a few names I recognize already!

We usually have a NaNo area set up in SL for just hanging out, writing, word warring, etc, as well as keeping tabs on wordcounts (we usually have a meter set up to see how many all SL Wrimos can get!), though I havent' yet spoken to any of the other "masterminds" behind that (Ina in particular, and probably Candy too!) to see what's up for this year.
I'm sure someone will keep everyone updated, though!

I know Milkwood also ran NaNo events last year (they've run writing stuff all year, actually), so they may be worth looking into if you're looking for a place to go (look for the Virtual Writers, Inc group)

Satu Winterwolf here. I don't make many virtual write-ins due to the fact I have a shared computer. Honestly wish I had the money and the prims to build my virtual town hehe, but sadly I just have a linden house and freebie shop to stay on budget.

Think we can ever get them to spring for a NaNoWriMo sim? nah...didn't think so. (but an avatar can dream!)

I'm Katiroth Paravane on Second Life, and will be there for 5 years this November. ...That's a long time, when I think about it.

I hadn't thought to build my area, though I will definitely be doing that now with my mediocre building skills...and I do have plans on making the avatars for my characters in the time before things kick off.

When I'm home and on my desktop that can handle SL, I will join the group listed in a previous post. Hope to see people in world!

Liam Roark on SL, eight years now. Looking forward to popping into some write-ins and events!

I am in Second Life, but I don't spend much time there while I'm writing. Both are sort of optional activities, and foir NaNoWriMo, writing has the priority.

I'm Flynnt Firecloak on SL. Doubt I'll be on for any write-ups, as I'll be doing most of my writing on the train to and from work. Also, SL absolutely eats our data allowance at home, so I usually only get on it when I'm at the library. :( But will see... if there are meet-ups, I might try and make one.

I'm April Kohl on SL and I'll be hanging out at the Milk Wood writing community a lot during NaNo, plus over at SLiterary if that's still hosting the writing meets.

I'm Hakeber Haber (hakeber) in SL, and I mostly hang out at Book Island, doing readings of my horror and comedy. I'll probably not make it to many write ins, since it'll be hard to have a word processor and SL open at the same time.

I'm Grace McConachie (both here and in SL). This is my second attempt at NaNo. I "won" in 2009 and hope I manage it again this year, although a full-time RL job will seriously cut into my writing time this year!

If anyone wants a place to just hang out and write, or chat and the bigger places aren't doing meetups (or the lag is too bad) You are all welcome to hang out on the beach underneath my store. (I just added more land a couple of days ago) It's got a nice peaceful view and there are plenty of places for people to sit around under the palm trees, and little lag there. It's over on the Brujah sim.

I will get the slurl posted here as soon as I'm able to get online later.

I'm June Faramore(username is June Stormcrow). I'll be running some write-ins at Milk Wood, and hopefully be over at the Cafe too, as long as it is open. I also need to get on prepping and such, so will be holding meets to work on that with others and share resources for worldbuilding Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 1PM here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Milk%20Wood/66/55/22. Thanks for posting our group name Sirahal, that's where I'll be posting NaNo events and where we post the Dash word for the day all year round. We also have a kickoff party in the works, have to get time down and then will post up here and probably in the Virtual Writers Inc group. Milk Wood also has cottages for rent if you want a pretty place to call home for novelling season :).

Hey guys, I'm Siansa McDonnell on SL. I'm usually an rp'er but I since I write as an rp'er in SL, a group like this makes sense. I love the idea of a virtual own to help my orientation as I'm writing but that's prims! I'll check some of these links when I get home. Do we have a group that I can add?
