Legend of Zelda

I'm surprised this hasn't popped up yet.

I adore the Legend of Zelda. My favourites would have to be Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. Wind Waker brings me to tears every time... *sniff* (':

What about you folks? What's your favourite Zelda game?

Wind Waker probably. I love the graphics on it. Twilight Princess is a little too dark for me.

Wind Waker is awesome. I know some people prefer slightly more realistic graphics, but the stylized art in Wind Waker is just part of what makes it my favorite. That's not even including the great story line in that game.

I'm sort of playing through OoT 3D right now, but it's sort of on hold for school, and will probably remain there for November, what with school and 50,000 words to write. I suppose there's always Christmas break.

I am attached to Ocarina, but also glad to see WindWaker given its proper due. Such a wonderful game, playability and storywise. I am once again two dungeons away from completing Twilight Princess. I love the game, but the Twilight Realm is a bit much, and HARD :). Is the 3D Ocarina worth buying the 3DS? There are a few other reasons to upgrade, but to play Ocarina is the main reason I am really thinking about it.

I personally don't have a 3DS, but I have a few friends who bought it specifically to play Ocarina of Time.

I've watched them play it and listened to their comments. They said it wasn't really worth it. Though they added some things, they changed the Water Temple completely (and made it easier) and that was enough to deter them.

It's your choice, of course, but perhaps find someone who's willing to let you play theirs for a while to see how you like it?

Thanks for the heads up. Not cool they changed Water Temple. Might buy a big DSi instead. After NaNo :).

Either Windwaker or Phantom Hourglass.

Wind Walker simply astounded me. The graphics were amazing. And the fact that Phantom Hourglass was a sequel of sorts to WW, it made it all the more awesome.

Hooray LoZ!

I LOVE Wind Waker. It was the first Zelda game I ever played, the first one I ever owned, and the first one I ever beat. Since then, I've been obsessed with them.

Twilight Princess was definitely my favorite overall, though Wind Waker is a close second. I'm super excited for Skyward Sword, even though I don't have a Wii... Small block there, I'll fix it...

Ocarina of Time, for sure. It's what got me hooked on the series. Be nice if they'd done the re-make for Wii instead...

Can be downloaded virtual console, but no different controls. Agree it would be awesome to use Wiimote as Ocarina.

Ocarina of Time, definitly, since it was my first Zelda and is still my favourite.
I'm not the Wind Waker fan though, but I love Twilight Princess. And Majoras Mask is really awesome.
From the handheld Zeldas I like Minish Cap the most.
I'm excited about Skyward Sword.

Say what you will, but Majora's Mask was one of my first and definitely still holds being my favorite. And, DS graphics or no, I really enjoyed Spirit Tracks.

I probably won't end up getting to play Skyward Sword for myself, since my Wii burned out a few months ago. Feh. Minor difficulty, I'll learn the story through Let's Plays and fanfiction.

... I'm such a horrible gamer. XD

You are the first person I've heard that said Majora's Mask is their favorite. I applaud you, this game doesn't get nearly enough recognition :D

I'm not sure what my favorite Zelda game is. There are just so many different aspects about all the games that I love. I'll go with Majora's Mask for now, since it has a special place in my heart for being the first Zelda I ever played (and because it doesn't ever get as much love as it deserves).

Since we've gotten onto the subject of Skyward Sword . . . I'm excited for it, but also a little frustrated. I try to follow various video game news sites and such, and anymore, all they post are Skyward Sword spoilers. Am I the only one that wants to actually wait until the game comes out and learn this stuff on my own?! I can't believe how many people I've hollered at for not putting spoiler tags in their news posts. I've unfollowed a ton of people. It's about to drive me insane.

You're not alone there. It seems that Zelda Universe and Zelda Dungeon are doing a good job putting spoiler tags up, but I don't follow any of the general gaming sites, so I'm not sure what their policies are. It's tough, I know. :/

I avoid the game sites unless I need help because of that very thing.

Windwaker is my favorite, although OoT will always hold a special place in my heart, as my dad playing it when it first came out is one of my earliest memories, and it launched me into the world of video games. :)

I'm beyond excited for Skyward Sword. I've preordered it, but when it arrives on the 20th of November I am putting it away in a locked box and sending the key to my boyfriend across the country so that I won't get distracted by it until after Nano... He'll send the key back a few days before December 1st, and I'll reward myself heartily for all the hard work I'll have put into novel, career, and school.

I'm a Ocarina of Time girl. In fact, I'm making my own Link costume for halloween. I'm going to attempt to make an ocarina as well, and play horribly at school to torture my friends.

I started out with Ocarina of Time, which really captured my heart. I thought my game was broken, until I found out I had one of the original releases - the Fire Temple music in mine has chanting, and in the end, Ganondorf bleeds RED! (Which is what got the game changed - ESRB wanted the game rated Teen if there was realistic blood I guess, so Nintendo changed it to green to keep their E for Everyone rating).

I then deeply fell head over heels for Majora's Mask <3

Twilight Princess was an amazing game, dark as it was.

Oh man, I have the original Ocarina of Time, too. I got pretty upset when I learned that they made changes to it in late versions... I really didn't think it was necessary. I just started playing OoT again for like...the twentieth time, only this time I'm playing the whole thing translated into Spanish. It combines my love of linguistics with my love for video games. ^-^

Senom299

Tsukasa- Gah, I know, right? So many evil spoilers.

You know, I think everyone thought Ganondorf was puking because his blood was green... maybe it's just me... or I'm thinking the wrong scene.

... and is it just me, or are more people liking games like Okami and, in this case, Majora's Mask because of chuggaaconroy? Because while Majora's Mask was my childhood, I got into at least two games because of him, does that make me a bad gamer? XD

Definitely Ocarina of time, although I haven't played any of the other ones, not a huge console gamer. I still think the N64 of Ocarina was awesome and the one with possibly the best and most immersive story of them all. The N64 was the first console I had, and the last one I played regularly, so there's definitely some nostalgia going on there.

I'm currently playing LoZ Ocarina of Time 3D :3 So much easier than on console, I have to tell you. I managed to beat Dark Link on my own.

Was and always will be Ocarina as my top and twilight princess as my second with majoras mask being a really close third. Those games are what turned me into a gamer. I played majoras mask back when it first came out with a buddy and had to try and help him figure out where all the gang members were hiding. The zelda collectors edition was even my first game on the gamecube when it came out. Not to mention one of my past NaNo's came from the idea of Majoras Mask with the whole mask containing the soul of the person to turn into them.
