Challenge yourself to a word war

I have not seen this thread started yet this year, though I've searched all of the threads made since NaNo began. You can delete this if I didn't see it - sorry if so.

In this thread, you basically just kick your own butt to write. You choose a time length, a goal, your starting and ending time, then you edit your post to say whether you made it or not. These have been extremely helpful for me in the past when the normal word war threads aren't active.

I'm going right now, so I'll use that as an example.

Start: :10
End: :20 (10 minutes)
Goal: 500 words

Starting on the :25
Ending on the : 40
Starting word coung: 13453
Goal : 600 words

I got 629 words

Starting on the :50
Ending on the :05
Goal word count 620

I only got a like 528 that time.

Taking a break to eat lunch and let hubby call so I don't get interupted while trying to write.

I will try this when I get home. Don't think doing a word war at work will go very well...

Starting on the :10
Ending on the :30
Goal word count:750

I ended up starting on the 16 instead of the 15, so I ended at 21.
I ended up getting about 271 or so. : ) Going to definately have to do this again.

Goal: 450 words

starting at 1:25
Ending at 1:35
Goal: 600 words

I only got 637, but that's 637 I didn't have before.

Good job LazyDays! That's a good way to think about things, that's what I think whenever something like that happens.
It's one step closer to the final 50,000.
It's only our 4th day too, so there's no need to start to worry so much : ) Keep up the good work! :)

I got 370 :) That's more than I usually get in 15 minutes.
