Take a prompt leave a prompt

It's never to early to get some prompts, is it? You all know how it works: you look through for a prompt, and if you have one you share it.
Some new ones not from last year:

"So you set our neighborhood on fire?"
"It was an accident. Well, maybe it was accidentally on purpose."

Not much is better than waking up with the smell of the sea in the air. I woke up with the smell of blood on my hands.

He should have known the pie was poisonous. Blueberry pie is always poisonous.

I can tell you from experience, never get in a drinking match with a dog.

Her heart beat furiously, as though banging down the steel cage that contained it like a prisoner wishing for the sun.

All she could think of as she fell was all the cringing brutal ways she would die when she get to the bottom; she could break her spine, smash open her skull, crush her collar bone, split her windpipe, blow out her chest, all depending on what she landed on.

She couldn't command anybody as well as he could. She was too timid, too shy; and he was aggressive, angry, dangerous. She envied him.

Sometimes following rules just isn't enough; a know-it-all's struggle for an identity is never easy. Behind it all, I'm nothing but a self-conscious loser.
