Forums are up, and I figured now would be a good time for people to get their creative juices flowing in preparation for November with some prompt-inspired one-shots, or even just give you some decent thoughts for your November novel. So, you guys know how this works, if you take a prompt, you leave one to keep the thread going.
I'll start us off with three random quotes from the internet; ~ "If you must fight, then you must fight together. If you can't accomplish that, then you will die together." ~ "The sad thing about dreams is that they always come to an end." ~ "Sometimes the ones we love can't come back."
My original plan for this year (and previous years) was going to be base an entire novel on these. I ended up going with a much older idea instead, but some year, I am going to do that.
Especially if I can think of a bunch of prompts to leave here in return. (I might do that anyway, as a reward when my NaNo is caught up.) :)
Oh my god. My serious story lost all steam so I just picked a side character and he took over the story, making it a humorous parody type thing. All three of these would be perfect for him to use with a much too serious look on his face :D
If he sprouts, "Did I do that?" I do hope he dies at the end of the story. Well, not the very end. I'd hope you'd leave in time for people to celebrate his death.
Taking: "If you must fight, then you must fight together. If you can't accomplish that, then you will die together."
Leaving: -"Run! If you ever want to live to see your home again run!"
-(something strange of of one of my note books) C1: "Quick! Before the EFM get here!" C2: "Enormous Flying Monkeys? C1: "No, no the other one!" C2: "Oh Electric Flying Monkeys." C1: "Yes that one!"
-"Life is a dance. Too bad I seem to have two left feet."
Quote:He screamed. He screamed as loud as he could, voice full of impotent fury, tears running unchecked down his face. Around him the world was silent.
Perfect! Thanks :)
Leaving: And, out of the recesses of his being, a voice called out to him. It begged him to listen, to hope, to take courage and to be strong--but he blocked it out with another curse. It was far too late for him to be changing his mind.

"Now this," his face lit up like the flash of a bomb blast, "this is what I'm talking about."
At that point, they both grabbed onto the rope trailing down from the hot air balloon..
Then he turned away from me and walked away into the cold night. And I can live with knowing that he's out there. Somewhere.
Then they heard the soft strains of music threading through the valley, and they knew the time had come.
"I'm...S-Sorry..." Her lips trembled as that apologetic whisper broke the silence, and she repeated it over and over again, unable to stop the tears that finally fell to the pavement. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I'm sorry...."
They stood together, hand in hand, and watched the world burn.
As soon as I arrived, I could sense that something was out of place...
