We don't need to start a separate message board or anything, but I thought it would be cool to do a Post-NaNo club for us young'ins to stick together. Motivate. Break dance. Word sprint. Plot wars. Y'know... just be cool together between Dec-Oct. Anyone with me?
*goes to start making icons*
I wasn't sure if anyone has done this or not. I haven't seen anything all month.
Sure, I'm with you. =) I'll be sticking around and this would be a cool place to hang out. *grins* I'll pass on the break dancing, though...I couldn't do that to save my life. ;)
Haha awesome. =) I'm still writing my NaNo novel....*le sigh* Brain, why must you be so long winded?
Alright. =D Hmm...I'm more familiar with wordpress, so I would choose that. ;) You could go with whichever is easiest for you, though, 'cause what I didn't know I could learn. =)
I think so. I'm at about 70K and I'm pretty sure I'm halfway there. Unless my story decides to take a detour and introduce something completely new, of course. =P
Hmm...I want cookies. Yes, that was random. I think I'll make some tomorrow...
*grins* I just enjoy myself a little too much when writing, that's all. If you'd like to hear about it, though, I'd be happy to NaNoMail you. ^_^ Just heed this warning: you may have problems getting me to shut up about it. ;)
And OH MY GOSH. O_O Your location! I've been there! About three times!!!!! Of course, it was before I started NaNo, but still! And that whole town loves their Bulldogs and I wanted so badly to wear my Crimson Tide hoodie or something while I was there. XD
It's a really pretty place and I liked it there. =) And that was random, but I was just super happy that there actually were teens who do NaNoWriMo in places that I had been or something...yeah, I know it doesn't make much sense. =)
The nanomail will be winging its way to you in just a few moments. ^_^ Haha that would have been tempting as well...I have an awesome cousin who goes to GA Tech. ;)
I used to live in Alabama. We moved a few years ago. =) My loyalty remains with the Heart of Dixie, however! Roll Tide! ;) And I might be able to forgive you. Maybe. If you can forgive me for all of the jokes I have made at Georgia's expense. ;)
Sure thing. =) Maybe I'll come back through before too long...you never know. I don't even know, actually...things get pretty wacky 'round here sometimes. =)
No, I don't think so. I was with my 4-H team and our coach liked barbecue, so we ended up going to this little barbecue place that he liked. I can't remember what it was called. And the time before that he decided that he wanted Huddle House, so we went there. *shakes head and grins at memory*
Editing is no fun. I keep getting distracted by all the shiny new plot bunnies I ignored during NaNo. And the fact that I should be doing my holiday homework instead of writing is NOT helping things.
Oh, dear. I'm sorry that you're not having fun. =( I can't wait to get to the editing process, mainly because it would mean that I'm done writing. ;) I intend to take a month long break from my novel when I've finally finished it, though. Would that help here? Just stepping back and taking a break? =) Also, homework should not be ignored. Trust me. =P
A break would help I suppose. I've spent way too much on my novel this November. And yes, I agree! Homework should be stuffed in a small little corner until the night before school starts ")
Captain Lonewolf and Silvia, I'm not editing mine. At least, not anytime soon. I finished the book and don't like it. At all. Maybe one day I'll go back to it once I've forgotten about it and I can judge it without bias but not now. It probably won't be for awhile. So, Captain, if editing isn't fun, just don't do it. :) As for the homework thing, I have to say that there are certain points that homework CAN be ignored to. Trust me: I've pretty much mastered procrastination.
Also, Captain, I think it's awesome that you won with exactly 1,000,000 words. Way to end it on a nice, clean number. Wait. What? A...a million? How...why...when...ahhh!!! ... ... ... ... ... <--Sorry. Breakdown over.
Of course you can, Carley! ^_^ *hugs* Glad to have you over here. Also, congrats on getting your license! I may have congratulated you on the PE thread, but just in case I didn't, here it is again. ;)
I understand completely. Maybe you'll be able to go back to it eventually. =)
*laughs* Well, in my experience, homework is really not a good thing to ignore. XD The consequences for my doing that aren't fun. o_o I am quite skilled at procrastination myself. 'Tis a skill I wish I didn't possess, actually. *rolls eyes at self*
I just noticed that. O_O I mean, I'd noticed it before but it just didn't compute... A...million...words. *tries not to faint*
Hey there Carley! I'm following the advice and not going to do editing at the moment. Maybe later, as part of my UnNoFiYe (Unfinished Novel Finishing Year) which I invented yesterday. Yeah, I'm not good at acronyms xD
*bangs head on desk to get annoying Cody Simpson song out of mind*
I like wordpress. If anyone wants to do some sort of novelty thing for this club... NaNoMail me and we can set it up. I hate doing blogs by myself so if any one wants to work on it too or whatevvvvvvver.....
ONE MILLION WORD. Guacamole. I could barely get 30k, and I home school so it didn't matter how late I stayed up.
Uuuuuughhhh I really need to finish my novel by the end of the month. I just keep getting side tracked by how stupid I think my book is. Deff. doesn't make it into a set genre.... somewhere between YA and Lit Fic and Mystery/Suspense. With too much dating goop thrown in because I liked my MMC.
Alphina, did you know there's actually a Cody Simpson song called Out of My Mind? xD It's actually an adaption of a song written by someone else but just had to comment on that.
I home school as well, and I had enough problems doing what I did in a month, so a million is waaaaay out there for me as well. =P
No, do not mentiont that name. O_O I just got one of his songs out of my head a week or so ago, don't start the torture again!
I'm trying to finish mine by the end of the month as well. Are you on NaNoFiMo? I just joined a few days ago in the hopes that it would give me a good kick when I needed one and some accountability. ;) (I think I have a crush on one of my characters. Seriously. This is not good. XD) *ending slight exagerration now*
Out of My Mind? Might have heard it on the radio. ROFL. IRONY.
Ahhh....
Sorry I mentioned. I will say, I'm not a Justin B fan, but even HE doesn't grate on me as much as Cody.... at least with Justin Beaver I can do funny spoof dances when 'Baby' comes on the radio.....
Ehhh.... I've been trying to finish, but right now I'm reconfiguring my plot. I didn't even come up with a name or personality for my ANTAG until a week or so ago. I'm just trying to get some kind of REASONABLE way to end my novel. Got a great idea from a Writer's Digest member's thing...
"Put the story aside and make a list of all the possible things that could happen in the ending (even if they violate your original vision of the story). So yeah.

Silvia, thanks. :) I drove by myself for the first time today. My dad was happy because it meant he didn't have to take me to work at 7 am like he used to. This license thing is convenient. Captain, I kind of like your acronym. It's difficult to say, just like that task it's talking about. ;)
Alpina, I'm not against wordpress. And my book sort of fits fantasy/supernatural but the new one I'm working on is...confusing me...as far as genre goes. Don't label, see where it takes you and then figure out what it actually is. :)
That's great, Carley! =D Congrats! Haha that is awesome. XD I can't do that, sadly. =P My work has to be completed every day -- all of it. *le sigh* Ah, well. English is awesome. Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
I will be here too. I have no social life though, and plus this place is awesome!
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
I'm in. Without the November rush I'm bound to be more active here anyway, and I'm planning a writing project for December as we speak so . . . yeah.
Besides, I need more distractions from the whole graduation prep business.
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Bahaha, you don't want to see me break dance. I look like I'm doing the hermit crab and flopping like a fish. Thus, why I don't break dance.
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
*grins* I'm not even going to describe me trying to break dance. We're just...not going there. It's that bad. ;)
In fact, I can't really dance at all....what about y'all? =)
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
I like to dance when the door is closed to my room and no one can hear me jumping around and stomping. xD
Alright, alright, I take it back! We'll.... blog instead of break dance! How does that sound? ROFL
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Haha you sound like me now.
Yay for blogging! Hahaha. XD
...We could start our own blog: The Insane Ramblings of Post-NaNo Teens. Enter at your own risk. XD
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
I'll stick around. I'm such a lurker post Nano. Posting around here might be beneficial in curing my lurker symptoms.
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Ack! No lurking! ;) Especially from someone with that avvie...I don't like to picture that thing "lurking" anywhere near me...O_O
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
True xD. I'll try to keep all lurking to the utmost minimum.
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Oh, good. *relieved sigh*
And I didn't mention the perks! With reduced lurking comes virtual cookies!! ;)
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
FOFL. I actually made a nerdy joke about octopuses in my NaNo novel...
A Post NaNo-Blog sounds hu-lar-ious! I can make it, because I like doing that stuff. If we did do it, blogger or wordpress?
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
And yes, it sounds hilarious. XD
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
I am still writing too. Don't worry.
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Good to know that I'm not alone. ^_^
Where are you in your story? Have you hit the halfway mark yet? =)
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
I have no clue. I skipped around during Nano. I never finished it, and there was a lot I skipped., but I do think I have made the half waymark though
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
*nods* That's good. =D It's always nice to know that you're halfway through. ^_^
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Have you?
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
I think so. I'm at about 70K and I'm pretty sure I'm halfway there. Unless my story decides to take a detour and introduce something completely new, of course. =P
Hmm...I want cookies. Yes, that was random. I think I'll make some tomorrow...
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Half way there with 70K? Wow
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Yup. I'm having fun haha. ;)
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
That makes we wonder what the plot is.
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!

Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Yes please nano mail it to me. And don't worry, if you did nothing would have happened. Now, if you wore a GA Tech thing, you might get attacked.
And I am guessing from the hoodie you are in Alabama. If so forgive me because Have made so many alabama jokes.
And no it doesn't make much sense. But hey if we get to be good friends tell me next time you are in town.
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
The nanomail will be winging its way to you in just a few moments. ^_^ Haha that would have been tempting as well...I have an awesome cousin who goes to GA Tech. ;)

Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Lol.
Deal. And really most jokes about Georgia are true were I come from.
Lol, when you were here did you ever go to a restaurant called the last resort?
Re: Post-NaNoWriMo Teen Club!
Haha alright, then. =)
No, I don't think so. I was with my 4-H team and our coach liked barbecue, so we ended up going to this little barbecue place that he liked. I can't remember what it was called. And the time before that he decided that he wanted Huddle House, so we went there. *shakes head and grins at memory*

Dancing, yay. One of my hobbies; I hoopdance.
