I'm rabirch on the Hatrack and WotF forums and have just (rather reluctantly) signed up again for the madhouse. I'll be working on a novel based on my WotF Q3 characters and world. I have approximately nothing plotted and no idea what I'm doing. What else is new in November?
Hiya LD and Dreamer! I'm tripper in the treehouse. First time doing anything of this nature, I'm anxious/excited/nervous/insert adjective here. Have my opening in my brain, but that's it so far; hoping to get some general plot planning out of the way this weekend.
Not a Hatracker yet, sadly, but I do hope to join next year once I hit that golden age of 18. :) I have been reading the wonderful Hatrack writer threads on and off for the last few years and find them very helpful and fascinating, and I think you guys are great. :D

Good luck on your writing, people! Can't wait for this crazy adventure to start . . .

I'm signed up. Never done this before, so I'm filled with both anticipation and dread. Haven't really done any outlining, plotting, planning, etc., but I think I know the setting and my MC. That's enough to write a novel with, right?
This is going to be an intense month. I would like to hit well over the 50k mark, but I have so many other things going on this month. But I have my goal at a MINIMUM of 50k words :) I am also hosting Thanksgiving at my house with my in-laws, I am eFormatting 4 books, illustrating a 40 story anthology (1 pic per story), I sell Usborne Books and so far have 4 shows this month. I am coordinating and hosting a Pre-Christmas Boutique at my home, and I homeschool my 4 kids, so there is a lot that goes on with that. Oh and my husband just told me today he wont be home for the first 2 weeks as he just got sent on a job out of town.
So I'm going full speed ahead...well, almost full speed I slowed down Saturday. Just couldn't get into it in the Afternoon. Later at bedtime I got on a roll and almost went to bed very late.
Good going Dreamer, Leetah you can still make it--that's not bad. If you guys and the rest of them are still around.
I did over two thousand words today. Finished chapter two at home, Chapter three is almost done at work--probably by the end of the week.
I need to decide where to go with Chapter four. My characters are increasing. May go back and add something to chapter one if I can recall what it was. I did add to the prologue this morning.
But the story is shaping up a lot better than I thought it would from what I had when I started. Things are getting connected so they are not just random adventures and battles.
And I will be adding things when I revise it, I discovered I forgot to add certain things to make it what I wanted it to be. Such as that there are vampires and such as well as elves. And a more on the club that fights the things that go bump in the night.
Seems like I'm the only one here who is reporting at the moment...hopefully because everyone is writing one thing or another
Some of you may have seen this already.
Still going strong. But I will slow down tomorrow and Sunday. Got four crits to do. Two quick short ones and two longer more in-depth ones. The last two I will probably just start. And I need to read each story first.
Slight problem though: I need a good reason for a group of people--of various types--for attacking my MC's friends. So far, even though he's been caught at the wrong time and place no one is after him specifically. But I'm not sure why the other attacks. This is well organized and probably taken years to plan but...why? I want to try think of a reason that is different. I know of a couple of the usual reasons but they are all cliche-ish or over used.
Sorry, I'm not doing writing buddies this year. I thought I would be too busy, last year I almost lost but looks like so far I could have done them after all.
For those on the Orson Scott Card writing forum. Officially known as Hatrack River Writers Workshop forum.
Affectionally called the Treehouse.

Ready as I'll ever be, I guess.
Well, the starting gun is getting closer.
Dreamer you ready?
Anyone else just reading these ready?
I think I am as ready as I ever am. Trying to come up with a first line but I know the basics for the opening.

Somebody help my sanity.
Leah, you are crazy. That's a lot on your plate, stay away from sharp objects toward the end of the month will ya?

For those who didn't see it elsewhere:
Mine has just reached the 20,000 word level. I'm back to being one day ahead. Lets see if I can make it two or three days ahead by the weekend.

well, well looks like most made it.
One never started evidently, one didn't even get that far since there's no word scale under their name.
A couple had problems but a good try and there's next year. A good start for a novel even if it tales longer than a month.
One hatracker who is not listed here made it to 80,000 some in case some of you may not have heard.
