Author bio:

So this is the first year that I'm filling out the 'author bio' section. I'm not terribly interesting but I hate seeing this empty space here and I thought I would fill it up. I'm not new to writing. I have a degree in it. I was hobbled for many years after college because I felt locked in to literary fiction and, well, I suck at it. NanoWrimo showed me the light. I love writing schlocky mystery, action and horror (throw in a little romance) and that's ok with me now. It's a kick. Throwing down words in November is one of the highlights of my year.

Fun facts:
I prefer to write standing up so I do the bulk of my writing in my basement wood shop at a high work bench.
I collect unusual guns and sometimes write them into my detective stories.
I can't write a decent ending to save my life and I blame it on my love of Stephen King's work.
