Author bio:

I may or may not be certifiable. Depends on if you've ever taught high schoolers. My name is Olivia Paige, and I'm slogging my way through the coursework necessary to become a high school English teacher. Why would I want to do such a thing? My best guess is that I'm a glutton for punishment. Or I think I might be able to teach students how to write.

Or maybe I just want to have an entire set of lesson plans revolving around Howl's Moving Castle.

Since last year, I've decided that not only do I want to teach high schoolers, I especially want the ninth graders. Still pretty sure I'm crazy. I've also learned I hate the approach to creative writing that the way you become better at it is by reading. You get better at writing the same way you get to Carnegie Hall, not by reading some pretentious prose in a niche publication. Sure it might help, but what's the point if you never write?
