Author bio:

I love reading and watching movies. Really, it is simpler than that. I love a good story. Doesn't particularly matter to me which medium it is told in. Table top role plays are the best though, because then I get to be part of the story.

When I was in second grade, I honestly believed that I was a princess. I had a circlet to prove it too. All the kids laughed at me when I announced this at show and tell. That wasn't such a good day for me. But I never stopped creating.

In fourth grade I made a planet called "Make Oom." I got the name for it off a little magnetic box that said "Make Room." That story is still floating around, though under a much different name.

As a senior in high school, I got to attend a creative writing class (only year I was there that they offered it). That class was a major ego boost for me. Back then, I was confident about my writing. I knew that there were problems with the writing and I needed more polish, but I thought my work was brilliant. My classmates helped me to believe this as well. You see, we had to read the previous day's assignment out loud. I would patiently wait for someone else to raise their hand and when no one did, I would go first. I can specifically remember after I read one of my stories, one of the guys in the class pipped up with "I can't go after that." The teachers response was to tell them that they should go first then. I felt wonderful.

Having gone back and read the things that I wrote at that time, I realize how much crap it all really was. I wasn't very good. I don't know if I am any good now. But for my love of stories, I am going to give it a try. It is time to tell the stories not just listen to them.

I'm engaged to a fantastic man who is supporting me in every possible way for this endeavor - including taking over the bulk of the household chores and burning me power metal CDs so that I can have a proper work environment to pound out 50,000 words.

This year I made myself, my friends, and my gods a promise to finish this. I will have all 50,000 words, even if it isn't until next October. But I know I can do better than that.

Last time I participated in NaNoWriMo I got started late and just couldn't seem to catch up. So this year, I started on time with everyone else and seem to be doing well. *knock on wood* I hope that it continues to go as well as it is.

It is 2012 and I have some big news. This last month (October) I closed on a house and got married. So not only am I trying to get NaNo done, but the rest of my life is also in complete upheaval. :D
