Author bio:
Alys lives in Norwich.
Twelve years ago, she was unearthed by an avalanche on Mont Blanc, where the ice had preserved her - even down to vital signs - for a little under two hundred years. Revived with brandy by heroic rescue workers, she came to with the statement that Switzerland was a dull enough place to spend a fortnight, never mind nineteen decades. Fortunately, she does not speak French, nor did the guides speak English, so the insult went unmarked and she was not left to die of exposure on the mountainside.
She was positively startled to discover her her husband still lived, and displayed no apparent signs of having aged in the intervening years. Since her miraculous preservation and rediscovery, Alys has been similarly unaffected by the passing of the time. Instead, she writes novels, reads novels, blogs about novels and has assumed the lonely destiny of being the last of the Romantic Poets.
This is her fourth year of doing Nano, and this year she has assumed the dashing guise of a rebel.
