- American Gods is my favourite novel. After that the list is gets a insanely long. Fav. authors include: Neil Gaiman, Angela Carter, Alexandre Dumas, Margaret Atwood, Robert Holdstock, Barbara Kingsolver, Alan Garner, Megan Lindholm, Arthur C. Clarke, Dianna Wynne Jones, Kim Newman, Poppy Z. Brite.... there are more, but I don't want to drone.

Alys lives in Norwich with her husband, a daughter who is nearly two and a cat who is the embodiment of evil.
She writes full time.
This is a lie; most of her day is spent looking after the toddler, or hiding behind a book. Writing takes place in those now diminishing naptimes at a sort of fever pitch. Never mind, hey? Her likes include comic books, chartreuse, books, chivalric romance, trees, expensive cookware and telling outrageous lies. Her dislikes are olives, tights, yoghurt and fascism. She is deeply suspicious of sandwiches.
In the last year she has finally got one book to a standard where she would let an agent see it. Outside of nano, she slugs away at a project which she promises will be 'the big one' and will one day storm Norwich city hall with her skyships and launch an anarchic crusade against low fat snacks marketed at women, before retreating to her floating hideout on the Broads.
This is her fourth Nano, and this year, she's winging it.
