Author bio:

Amaya is a university student, studying to become a Primary School Teacher specialising in inclusive education. She works with young children every day and truly loves it.

Amaya writes novels and short stories in her spare time and hopes one day to sell a few. She focuses on Fantasy and Science Fiction and has trouble writing stories which occur in the here and now. She is a pantster by nature when writing, but due to some unique skills her first drafts often suffer from very few plot holes, for which she is glad because she simply cannot edit to save her life.

Amaya's first Nano was a complete failure, with only one character still surviving, yet unable to be removed from the context of the story that will never be. Her second Nano was better, she reached her own, smaller goal, and even finished the novel, but though she liked the story it lies unedited and will likely never be published. She then participated in Camp Nano, but halfway through decided her story was Crap, however one good thing came out of it. Yethzer, a momentary character buying some items in a store, all he did was mention a war and talk of going from warrior to scholar, yet he gave me a world, a conflict and a story. This became my next Nano, and the first I had one, and the only story I am really working hard on finishing and editing.

Her plans for this year include a Camp Nano to complete Yethzer's story and a new science fantasy story which has already been partially planned.
