Well, where to begin.

I'm a Canadian guy named Jamie. I'm in my last year of high school, so I'm heading into the big wide world in September. Yikes.

I'm artistic, and I love both the liberal and fine arts. I'm a bit of a musician; I play classical guitar and the flute, the former for a few months and the latter for a few years. I'm told I'm pretty good at music. I'm a bit of an artist; I draw in a style derived from anime, and I mostly draw human figures, often people of my own creation. I'm very interested in language; I love English etymology, and I want to learn a number of other languages. In fact, one of the universities I'm applying to has a few different language courses that I'd like to take.

And finally, I'm a writer. I write in my spare time, and I write in time that isn't spare time (in fact, I should be working on something instead of writing this...). I type with one hand, but I'm fairly quick at it - I'm slower with both hands. I adore NaNoWriMo and what it stands for, and I think it has widened my eyes to the sheer joy and exhilaration writing can offer. I'm working on a different novel currently which I will work on on the side. I intend to have my work published, and I could see myself, amongother things, as a professional authour.

Hmm, what else? Well, when I'm not being artsy-fartsy, I'm playing video games, mostly RPGs and puzzle games. Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Shadow of the Colossus, The Sims, Kingdom Hearts, and League of Legends are all up there as my favourites. I also enjoy Dungeons and Dragons.

Despite all of these hobbies, I'm good with academics and maintain good grades. I generally have a high-80s average, with 90s in English and the sciencies, and high 80s in Art and Music.
