Author bio:
I am one of the people with a real double life. When the sun is up I have a day job that pays the bills and lets me buy coffee. As soon as the sun sets I become a writer. In between I try to fit in my horses (we bred Arabians) and all my other hobbies.
Here I have to officially admit that I am the luckiest person when it comes to Nano and the impact it had on my life. I met a lot of great people my first year in 2011 and we keep in touch meeting up once a month. Last year we met some new crazy friends and a few of us meet up once a week to write and sort out characters that really dont want to work with us.
2011 was my first attempt at Nano and somehow I managed to get the 50 000 words done. The end might not have been a finished book but it got me realizing what I needed to work on for my writing.
2012 I surprised myself by hiitting 72k largely due to a word war I had with fellow SA horse rider Tamarin. I really dont know how I did it so dont even ask.
2013 March Camp Nano - Let the madness begin.
I am also hoping to meet some writing buddys along the way!
