Author bio:
I wrote my first novel during NANO '06 after gentle harassment from my eldest child. Living in Yorkshire, England at the time lent a British experience to that book, and some of my subsequent work. In the last five years, I've written nearly forty manuscripts, and in July 2011 began publishing independently via Smashwords.

As an indie novelist, I appreciate controlling my destiny, staying true to my voice. Covers are sometimes a challenge, but the personal rewards are well worth the work. NaNoWriMo gave me the kick in the pants to write and I wouldn't be on this path without everyone at OLL. Equally I can't imagine not participating in NaNoWriMo; November wouldn't be the same without it!
Outside of writing, I enjoy spending time with my husband and grown children, observing hummingbirds, listening to a wide variety of music, eating frozen yogurt and bagels with cream cheese, baking banana muffins with copious doses of chocolate, reading whatever catches my eye, propagating spider and marble pathos plants, walking along the Pacific shore, and singing (la la). I don't like camping. Or snails.
Write well and have a terrific November!
