Author bio:

Where to begin...Well, From the age of 16 until 19 I was abused by my mother. At 19 I began my journey toward healing by finally opening up and writing about my experiences. For me it wasn't just seeing my writing in print that motivated me. People who read my stuff started coming forward with their own stories, and emailing me thanking me for giving them the courage to come forward and break their silence. There is nothing like the feeling you get knowing you've made such a tremendous difference in the life of another person.

Since then I've worked at a drop-in center for teens at risk, joined a support group for survivors of abuse, and gotten involved in child sex abuse advocacy and awareness. I write as often as I can, attend protests and trials when I can, and do what I can to help people who have been let down (to put it very mildly) by the people they trusted the most. I've met some incredible people over the past two years, and learned more than I ever imagined I could. The story of my life is still being written, but, despite the serious challenges I've faced, I'm enjoying watching the story unfold. Let's see where this goes.
