Hmm...I'm Kayli, I've just turned seventeen, and this is my THIRD year nanoing, or at least attempting to. Last two years, something always gone wrong, like the first nine thousand words getting deleted, but that will NOT happen this year! Not on my watch wise guy/gal! I am one hundred percent determined. I'm a writer hear me roar!
(As you can tell, I'm a bit excited about NaNo this year.)
Some people, well, most people, would describe me as a goof-ball, and I agree with them.
Hmm...I'm not a very judgmental person, or at least in my opinion anyways.
I someday dream of going to Japan, along with other countries, like Italy or Ireland. (Weird mix, I know.)
If I can't do that, I want to just take trains across the US. Something about hopping on a train just seems....fantastic to me.
I hope one day to become an author. Not sure what it takes, but this is also why I come back to NaNo each year. To see if I have the "balls" to be a writer. I know it's a very hard industry to break into, but I'm young. I'll take things one step at a time.
I guess I've always loved to write, though I haven't always considered myself a "writer". I think the first time I really considered myself as a writer was in the eight grade, when we all got our personal narratives back, and my English teacher said that if the kids needed a good example of description, they should read mine. (Which, was kind of ironic, at the time. I'm good at picturing things, but I have a very hard time remembering exact details, so I just made most of them up!)
Now that I've rambled on for a bit....I have some random fun facts!
1.) I am a amateur guitarist
Yeah...I should really practice that a bit more...I absolutely SUCK at chords :'(
2) I'm a gamer. I LOVE video games. I prefer RPG's because they tend to have better plots. I enjoy the FF series, the Metal Gear Solid series, I love the first Dragon Age game. Oh, and I recently started playing WoW.
3.) I like to cook
Yes it is very fun. Though...sometimes it doesn't turn out very good. Oh well.
4.) I love books with magic. Whether that be Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series, or the Hobbit, I love them all. Long as the author doesn't write horridly, that is.
5.) Though I'll try to hold back for NaNo, I'm a compulsive editor. A lot of times, when I'm typing really fast, I tend to...err....skip word occasionally. (Which really sucks for NaNo, cause you need every word you can get!) So if I don't check it a million times, I sound like a total idiot when you read my writing. Of course, my writing has gotten WAY better
over the years, and this occuring has become somewhat rare...but still, I am DEFIINTELY going to check this.
6.)I despise jerks. Just throwing that out there.
7.)I love to eat cheese, which you would think would show more. I swear, I got a Sailor Moon thing going on with my waste, or something...Not that I'm complaining.
8.)I'm an animal lover. Except for snakes...but those don't even count as animals in my book. (Neither do insects.)
9.) I'm extra talkaltive half of the time. It's like I have a dual personality or something. Sometimes I just love to talk about everything. Other times....it's kind of nice, just sitting around, thinking about things. I don't know, i'm weird that way.
I bet you can't tell which time this is XD
Well, now you know me better than a lot of people at my very own school! Good for you!
It was nice meeting you!
- Hmm...writing wise, I generally don't write pure vamp books, because those have been done INTO THE GROUND. Now, if I right a superntural book that just HAPPENS to have a vampire side character or two--which is SO unlikely, that is a completly different thing.
