Author bio:
I started telling stories as soon as I could talk, and started writing them down as soon as I could. 16 years (and a lot of writers' self-help articles) later, I've finished (but haven't won) my second NaNoWriMo, and I haven't looked back :D When I'm not writing, I can be found playing piano or guitar, knitting, spinning yarn to knit with, or biking through the Midwestern hills.
My style is a balance between straightforward and flowery, usually full of concrete sensory details, and usually to do with fantasy and magic. I don't know if I'm capable of writing a story without magic; I've never really tried! We read as a form of escape, so why read about a world that's too similar to the one we're in now? This is why I love stories like Harry Potter and Dr Who.
