Synopsis
Two thousand years ago the Old Gods defeated the evil of Chegobetum, forcing him back to the ether. But they were gravely wounded by this effort. In fact, the Goddess Mithra's flesh body was ruined. Using the last of their strength the Gods preserved her essence in an orb. Desperate to escape from Chegobetum's followers who wanted the orb to resurrect their evil lord, the priests embarked on a mission across the sea, to hide and protect it. They never made it to their destination...
Pippa and Wes have been friends as long as they can remember both growing up in the coastal island town of Fynes. Wes, the youngest son of a poor fisherman who dreams of earning his fortune selling his services with a sword to a King on the mainland and one day returning to marry Pippa. Until her Uncle sends her to the mainland herself to train as a Lady's maid.
But there is an evil stirring once again, awakening the Old Gods who desperately need to find the orb and the one who can wield it's power.
